My recommendation is that Tetra Shillings Accounting LLC should use Windows 10 Pro. I believe Windows 10 Pro is the best and most advanced version of Windows currently available. Windows 10 Pro will help Tetra Shillings Accounting LLC achieve its business expansion goals. Tetra currently runs Windows 8.1 Enterprise, which is slow, has poor compatibility with other applications, and has been outdated since Windows 10 Pro was released. Tetra Shillings Accounting will benefit from improved performance, better data security, fewer update interruptions and a more user-friendly interface after migrating to Windows 10 Pro.

The opportunity: Benefits of upgrading to Windows 10

Users are reporting problems regarding Windows 8.1 laptops and desktops. Lack of text clarity on some desktops, difficulty launching Windows Explorer, the main browser, driver issues, and automatic backups due to constant machine lag are some problems with Windows 8.1. Tetra should seriously consider moving to Windows 10 Pro not only to overcome these obstacles but also to take advantage of the benefits that Windows 10 Pro offers, such as:

Advanced security: Windows 10 Pro has many security features that ensure Tetras work is safe. From unauthorized access by people, they cannot access. Using fingerprint authentication is an important security feature of Windows 10 Pro. It has biometrics so Tetra users can protect their work without remembering passwords [1].
Less interruption during updates: Windows 10 Pro makes it easier for users to plan when and how often to update the system. Compared to Windows 8.1, updates automatically pause the users work progress, and the user is notified through the Windows notification system before the update. Similarly, when a new update is downloaded, Windows 10 Pro notifies users before installing and restarts to avoid work interruptions.
Better performance: Windows 10 Pro has better performance, as evidenced by its faster startup, improved interface and seamless app-to-app switching, making it possible to work more efficiently.

Upgrade Plan

My suggested version:

I recommend upgrade to Windows 10 Pro because:
1. All computers, including desktops, laptops and tablets, can run Windows 10 Pro. Windows 10 Pro, on the other hand, works better with laptops, even though it is designed for multiple machines. This will be beneficial as Tetra business intends to replace desktop computers with laptops.
2. Windows 10 Pro can access cloud storage, which is excellent for freeing up some computer storage space and providing a secure cloud storage area.
3. Windows 10 Pro offers better security features. BitLocker is an encryption technology that encrypts the users drive to protect the users data from unauthorized access.

Installation method:

The two ways to install Windows 10 Pro are:
- Method 1: Install Windows 10 Pro on a Windows 8.1 laptop manually. The company will install windows 10 Pro on laptops through manual or physical installation through mounting. Windows 8.1 will read the ISO file, run the installer, and Windows 10 pro will take its place within few minutes. A software to install the ISO used can be WinCDEmu [2].
- Method 2: Install on Microsoft Website. The latest Windows 10 Pro downloads will be available on the manufacturers website for laptops that replace desktops. It is easy because you go to the download page on the Microsoft website, click on the download tool, and accept to start the download.

Automated Deployment Options

The in-place upgrade and Windows Autopilot are two automation options that should be considered.

In-place upgrade. Laptops that will not be replaced should reflect this upgrade. An in-place upgrade helps save essential data from old Windows, such as drivers, programs, and settings, so users do not have to worry about restoring data when they are not using the new Windows. As mentioned earlier, the main advantage of this deployment option is its reliability. Additionally, users can roll back to a previous version of Windows if they are experiencing problems with the new version. However, due to compatibility issues, users cannot use this option to upgrade from 32-bit OS to 64-bit OS.
Windows Autopilot. Windows Autopilot is a great way to deploy Windows, especially for those new to IT development. Anyone can use automation without the need to deploy, manage, or retire images.

Solving the problem raised

Since this is a brand new version of Windows that most users have never used before, users are bound to have questions and concerns. The first problem is that Windows 10 Pro always hibernates to speed up a quick restart, but that still takes a long time. Users should deselect the fast startup option to avoid this. Second, Windows 10 Pro automatically backs up files if the user has plenty of storage. However, this may result in slow performance due to limited space. It can be controlled by regularly cleaning the disk and removing large, unnecessary files.

The importance of updating the system

Updating your system is essential, as doing so can improve your PCs performance. Faster multitasking and faster startup times are features of the updated system. The laziness of the past will be a thing of the past. Second, by setting a system update date, there is less disruption during the update because there are notifications before downloads, installations and updates. Users can manage and organize their work in this way. Lastly, in almost every update, new security features are designed to improve the system and make it less vulnerable to attacks by unauthorized users.

Strategies for updating the operating system

To update the operating system, I recommend using a machine with multiple core processors so that users can continue to work while the system is updated. This also helps reduce the damage that new bugs can cause during downloads and updates. When upgrading the system, if Tetra uses a multi-core processor, there will be less disruption; therefore, employees will continue to work and be more productive.
