Week 1 Assignment: Describe Problems, Purpose, and Research Questions

Part 1

The field of education encompasses a vast range of activities. As I progress in my teaching and learning activities, quantitative education research will familiarize me with answers to many difficulties. My strong desire to focus on education in my quantitative research stems from my professional background as a teacher. My employment has always allowed me to examine all of the problems that kids at my employer’s school encounter, contributing to their poor performance. As a result, I’m curious to see if a lack of parental attention and support contributes to student underperformance. In my dissertation, I plan to use quantitative research since it allows me to cover a larger sample size and collect data more rapidly. It’s also anonymous since their shared thoughts don’t plague the samples. There’s no need for an obligatory inquiry because I work in a certain geographical region yet receive data from all over the world.

My research, in particular, collects data from a variety of sources about students’ educational failures as a result of poor parental care and support. I’m supposed to make a list of resolutions to the sample size findings that I’m going to display in graphs and tables. Quantitative research helps me achieve amazing things in the classroom as a teacher. I can quickly gather firsthand knowledge and document resolutions. Every wonderful item, however, must have a negative side. Because qualitative research is costly, I am apprehensive about incorporating it in my future dissertation. Because I specialize in large sample sizes, it costs about $100,000. It’s also impossible to know if the answers supplied by the samples are right because they don’t allow for consultation and may be motivated by ulterior intentions.

  2. The study’s problem is that students with disabilities fail to graduate from high school and become recognized people in society that can help in social and economic development.
  3. The purpose of the study is to scrutinize whether students with disabilities from Southwest Georgia have relationships and predictive values existing among their graduation rates, retention rates, and dropout rates.

  • The correlation design was used for this study because it was thought to be a more exact way of measuring the degree to which two variables were connected. A minimal sample of 68 was established using a G*Power analysis for linear regression, and a random sample was taken from archive data (.80 power; .15 effect size; .05 alpha). The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement provided historical data from 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017 academic school years of pupils classified as students with a disability.
  • “Grit as a Predictor of Online Course Success Dissertation” by Rose (2018).
  •  The study’s problem is that some grownup higher education students are successful in e-learning. Others, on the other hand, fail or drop out, and a number of studies have found that a student’s personality traits can anticipate either result.
  • The goal is to investigate the relations between a learner’s effort, self – efficacy and academic achievement, inner course contentment, and the test score in an online program.
