We have made the report and received feedback, but unfortunately, we did not do well. Therefore we must now revise Chapter 2 following the provided feedback.
Please focus on the following feedback that we have received from our professor:
“The main question is in the right direction, see the remark in the attached document.
Make sure you start the theoretical framework by explaining the main concept of “employee engagement”. You need to measure this so you need to know what it is. Thereafter, you can investigate the factors leading to engagement. I have the feeling that 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 do not match the text – variables in the text are not in the overview or vice-versa. In the selection of theory, explain what you select and why. Add subquestions to the conclusion (the ones you have now do not match your conceptual framework).”
Please also revise the remarks in our file. Feel free to rewrite parts you think are needed. And create new subquestions that match with the conceptual framework.
Furthermore, based on chapter 2, you now have at least two perspectives to look at your topic. Taking the strengths and weaknesses of each of the perspectives into account, select which theory (or combination of theories!) can be best used for your study. Motivate your selection and develop a conceptual model based on the variables derived from this selection. Try to visualize the conceptual model.
I will attach the file of our initial assignment instructions (but only focus on Chapter 2). Please look at the provided sources carefully, the last person only took vague information from the abstract and introduction and I had to rewrite the whole thing last minute using the information he gave. So we basically failed because of him.
