Walmart Inc., headquartered in the United States, is a multi-billion-dollar retail conglomerate that owns and manages a chain of superstores, discount department stores, and grocery shops. Customers appreciate the affordable prices and the convenience of having all of their needs met in one location. Conversations between boss and employee are among the most common types of workplace engagement. These discussions could occur over the phone or in person, one-on-one or with groups of employees, in informal or formal settings. Each variety has distinguishing qualities that set it apart from the others. As an intern at Walmart Corporation, I was privy to interactions between departmental supervisors and employees. The essay will concentrate on a one-on-one conversation between a manager and an employee from electronics department complaining about increased workload due to the high rate in which electronic appliances are returned due to faulty wiring. It focuses on several unique qualities and language patterns used in the workplace.

Both the manager and the employee demonstrated a great level of professionalism regarding the dress code. Their formal suit and tie represented the formal context in which they met. A formal and convincing tone and simple vocabularies were used by both men, giving each time to speak without interruptions that resulted into a clear flow of ideas which helped them come up with creative solutions to deal with the damaged appliances

The Walmart manager realized that the suppliers were the cause of the issue; hence, the manager and the employee devised a strategy to rectify the situation by switching to a different provider. There was a high level of accountability when an employee informed the manager about customers retuning some of the company’s appliances that were malfunctioning. On the other side, the manager showed accountability by first hearing about the problem and then offering potential solutions to the problem.

Since it resulted in a solution to the issue that had been brought to their attention, the conversation that took place between the senior member of staff and the junior member of staff was beneficial and successful. As a result of the organization’s adoption of this strategy, they were able to solve the problem and put an end to the practice of losing customers as a direct result of the sale of faulty appliances, as well as the loss of income due to refunds.

Nursing characteristics include Maintaining ethics while dealing with patients on all levels and require a solid commitment to patient care. Professionalism is essential in nursing because it guarantees that nurses provide the best possible care to their patients (Mather & Cummings2019). Professionalism helps nurses personally care for their patients, and it helps them work effectively as part of a team to drive their professional development in the health sector. Nurses can use professionalism to resolve conflicts when a patient’s family refuses to consent to an emergency surgery while the patient cannot agree.

Professionalism in nursing refers to the manner in which nurses conduct themselves in the workplace, as well as their attitude and the manner in which they interact with other people. Being professional can ensure a positive first impression to patients, which in turn assures patients of a faster recovery; successful interpersonal relationships, which are necessary in order to understand what ails the patient; and a lasting good reputation within your organization and the surrounding community.
