You will create interview questions for a parent of an adolescent between the age of 13 – 18 (preferably the parent of the adolescent you interviewed previously in the course). (preferred learning styles) Review the topics below and create 10 interview questions that you plan to use.
Tips for Interview Questions:
Use the same topic that you used with the adolescent in the previous interview assignment.
Use your textbook to create relevant questions about the topic. (Santrock, J. W. Adolescence. (18th ed.). Boston: McGraw-Hill. Copyright 2023.
Ask questions that might also contribute to how a specific topic might impact parenting the adolescent.
Use person’s first language and avoid labeling behavior or individual experiences.
PART 2. (Worth 20 pts)
You will conduct an interview with a parent of an adolescent between the age of 13 – 18 using the questionnaire above.
Interview Notes:
Provide the age, gender, and ethnicity of parent of adolescent being interviewed.
Provide the age, gender, and ethnicity of the adolescent the parent will be answering questions about (preferably same adolescent from previous interview).
Please do not provide a name or any other identifying information.
Take detailed notes for each question.
Interview Summary:
Write a one-page summary of the interview.
Include detailed information about the topic from the textbook and/or other sources.
Provide an analysis of what was learned from the interview and how it connected to information from your textbook on the topic and adolescent development.
Provide a critique and or recommendation regarding parenting as it relates to this topic and what you learned from the interviews.
