These thinking processes encompass assumptions and biases, along with usual thinking paths and conclusion. These ‘hats’ are not to be thought of as descriptors of people – they are methods of behavior, communication styles, and thinking processes.
Review the “6 THINING HATS” videos and study the description of each ‘hat’ to determine which is your normal thinking style, along with those that you traditionally interact with. Watch the words they use, the pace at which they speak, their ideas, and their biases.
Folllowing the format, you learned in in Kolb’s Model for Experiential Learning. Students create a reflective paper (3-5 PAGES) using three different personal life situations, experiences, and examples of learning while reflecting on knowledge gained from the results of the 6 THINKING HATES article.
