Introduction

The fist article under consideration is called The Politics of Climate Change and is written by Roger Howard. In this work, the author analyzes the measures to be taken to avoid the global climate change where the most appropriate one is global consolidation. The second paper called Saving the Environment: Five Creative Approaches presents the reader with effective means of improving the environment.

In the first article, the author expresses his concern with the problem of data utilization on climate change and negative consequences arising from this. Howard puts forward the ideas that climate shifts promote the government to use natural disasters in political terms. In other words, the article considers the environmental changes as a solid ground for the introduction of innovative political strategies. The author disapproves the government’s intensions to take advantage of ecological disasters for political or military attacks. In addition, the article provides the readers with the merits of possessing information for diplomatic goals. Hence, the researcher divides people on those who own the climate change data and those who do not where the first group have exclusive privileges (Howard 2009:26). Finally, Howard insists on the fact that the government that intends to enter military actions directly uses the meteorological data.

Main body

The next article discloses five effective approaches for preventing destructive impact of natural disasters. People engaged into extremely different spheres of life provide the approaches presenting various solutions. This article, therefore, shows different gaps in solving ecological problem, beginning from social origins and ending with natural and psychological reevaluation of a person. The author puts forward the ideas of other researchers, whose activities are closely connected with their solution concepts. For example, Don Harter, a community development specialist, refers to the issues of social welfare as to the key points of the environmental improvement; Julia Butterfly Hill, an environmental activist, sees the decision in greening the planet (Anderson 2009:49). Finally, the author provides the brief information about the activists and their achievements in certain fields of study.

Evaluating the first article, it is worth mentioning that author managed to prove the connection of political strategies with climate changes. Perhaps, the Policy of Climate Change would be of significant value for those who underestimate the importance of environmental problems, especially for undeveloped countries for whom natural disasters could be even more dangerous. Perhaps, the author discloses the problem of climate change from an extremely unconventional view thus imposing his radical view. Despite that, Howard’s work serves as a helpful note for those who are ignorant of other negative consequences of global warming. Finally, the researcher gives brave predictions concerning military issues relying on previous historic facts. His view on the environmental problem as the method of creating effective policy is controversial if taking into consideration international effort to overcome the ecological disasters.

In comparison with the fist article, Saving the Environment: Five Creative Approaches examines the ways to stabilize the ecological situation. The information presented by the author is or greatest value for the environmental activists striving to ameliorate the present deplorable state of nature. Especial consideration deserves the Beynus’s solution, which is rather creative and efficient. The idea to engage natural techniques into the manufacturing process could become the winning stroke in solving the problem of environmental pollution. The arguments provided by Peter Berg require especial consideration, as the bioregional method makes people to return to their origin. Though the approaches have their drawbacks and merits, they constitute an ideal solution to the eternal problem of humanity. Hence, it is not in vain that the author suggests the particular techniques of these scholars.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it is worth saying that both articles enlarge on the natural problems connected with social, national, and political issues. Moreover, both authors chose unconventional approach in considering this problem. Still, the difference lies in the fact that in the Politics of Climate Change the author considers the negative impact of ecological issues whereas Saving the Environment: Five Creative Approaches represents the possible methods to change the environment for the better.
