Introduction

The period between 1300 and 1800 AD was of much significance to the history of the Islamic religion. Events that took place during this period had a lot of impact of the history and status of the religion in general. The whole period includes people, events, and other parameters which were of great significance to the history of Islam. This paper is about the history of Islam. However special reference is going to be given to the period between 1300 and 1800 AD.

The paper takes an analytical look at the whole period between 1300 and 1800 AD with special reference to the journal articles provide. All the events that took place during this period are to be considered so as to bring out the real picture. At the same time priority is going to be given to the whole aspect of Islam. The events will be analyzed in reference to the religion of Islam. In order to be successful in this endeavor the paper is subdivide into several sections. Nature of travel

During this period Islam was characterized by extensive and long journeys. A number of travelers took to voyages for reasons of expeditions, religion and trade. No matter the reasons for traveling this period was full of voyages by different personalities of the Islam religion (Leo-Gesellschaft & Görres-Gesellschaft 94). The travels were not limited to certain areas but extended to far and distant lands. However most of these began in Asia since it was the original stronghold of the Muslim religion. They therefore extended to several European countries and Africa. During these travels training activities were intensified in areas perceived to be lucrative.

The other aspect of the travels was the military conquests. Through the traveling areas that were seen to be good for launching were conquered through military conquests. This was followed by the settling of the places by the Muslims. The Islamic religion was then spread to the new territories.

Sir John Chardin’s travels in Persia are well documented as having been of great significance during this period. Sir Chardin traveled extensively to India and Persia and his works give more light to the whole period of time when the Islamic religion underwent much revolution. Throughout his life Chardin traveled and recorded the most significant areas of history (Scholastic Library Publishing 21). His works were unique as far as the record and documentation of the whole picture of the Persian Empire was concerned.

As result his works are more reliable as compared to other forms of work. Evliya Celebi also was an extensive traveler who recorded most of his findings in the course of travel (Hussain 122). His collection is found in his book Seyahatname. His traveling career began early though was limited to the city of Istanbul. However with time he began venturing out and traveled all over gathering a lot of data. It is from here that he published his work which is widely appreciated (Esposito 276).

Military history

The period between 1300 and 1800 AD was characterized by rampant military conquest through which the religion was spread to different parts of the world. All this stated as expeditions organized by travelers (Kagan et al 916). Through the intensive traveling they were able to gather information about the targeted places before the launch of military invasion. The fist conquests were done in the Asian continent from where they were extended to the other continents. In the history of Islam is full of instances of military conquest especially in the aim of spreading the religion (Romana 100).

During the initial days if the religion, the prophet spread the Islamic message using the military conquests. In the journal article memoirs of babul prince and emperor the manner in which military warfare played a key role in the whole period is well documented. The story captures what took place in Delhi and its environs during this crucial time of history.

Role of trade

During this period trade was also among the major events that took place. Through extensive traveling lucrative places of trade were identified. Channels of trade were designed through which the process was conducted.
