Take the assessment tool, Do I want an enriched job?, on pp. 328-330 in your textbook (Management Skill Builder).
Be sure to read the Analysis and Interpretation and Skill Basics sections following the assessment tool (pp. 329-330).
Do the results surprise you? Think about your role as a manager of employees who might differ in their needs from their job. While some may seek variety, autonomy, and growth opportunities, other employees may prefer jobs that offer routine and standardized tasks. Think about how you will assess and address each employee’s specific needs.

Write a two to two and a half page summary discussing the following:
Your findings from the Do I want an enriched job? assessment tool. Be sure to state your growth need strength score and explain what this score means. 5 pts
Re-read the Skill Application section. Assume you are Sean. How can you (Sean) improve the staff’s motivation and reduce the turnover rate? Note: Paying more money is NOT an option. Also, you cannot fire all employees and hire new, motivated employees. Think deeper. What have you learned about the concept of motivation and motivational theories that can help you (Sean) construct specific actions to motivate his employees. Responses for this portion of the write-up must apply a minimum of two motivational theories (need to indicate the specific two theories you are using and indicate why each theory will motivate the employees and/or reduce employee turnover). 10 pts
Be sure to use proper APA format, in-text citation, and referencing (yes, your textbook and content in the portal needs to be sourced–in-text citation and references–see reminders below). 5 pts
