Successor failure always starts in the mind. An individual will always succeed in life if the mind is set to succeed. As a student who is preparing to join the employment market, it is important to determine goals and objectives in life. It is important to set goals and determine the need to succeed within the chosen sector. An individual will succeed by first setting a mind for success. It is important to start be setting goals. An individual should set goals in order to determine the journey that needs to be covered. These goals must be achievable and realistic. When setting these goals, an individual should appreciate the fact that his or her capacity has limits. As such, these goals should be set within these limits. The next set will be making plans on how to achieve the set goals. The plan should be set systematically. The individual should then start working on the plans, in an effort to reach the goal. On the path to achieving the set goal, it is important that an individual realizes the fact that success or failure are possibilities, and that what will make one achieve either of the two is the mindset.

The first lecturer was given by Jaguar Land Rover. In this lecture, the employer of these two firms clearly demonstrated the nature of this industry. The two employers stated clearly the expectation of employers in this industry. The motor vehicle industry is one of the most competitive industries in the world. It requires employees who are determined and focused on whatever they are doing. The two companies are specialized in high-end vehicles. They stated that this is a very delicate industry. Although customers in this industry are always willing to pay more for the products they buy, they are always very skeptical about the quality of the products, especially if the company is new. The employers extensively analyzed this industry on many fronts. They emphasized the fact that there are many competitors in this industry, and this would require employees within the firm to be exceptional in their duties. They were categorical that working in this industry comes with a number of advantages. An employee in this industry may get to work in any part of the work. This would enable such employees to develop a global approach to handling various issues of management. This, however, comes with a number of challenges that one must be prepared to face. One such challenge is the need to be very keen when handling customers. A mistake at any level may result in serious loss to the firm. One main disadvantage that they noted was the fact that the job is very demanding, and that it may take much of the work of employees, limiting the time for recreational activities.

Another lecture was given by International Experience and Mobility Service. The lecture focused on the international experience as an employee and the mobility service. It emphasized the European market and how to determine the eligibility of the candidates. This lecture was based on the tourism industry. This industry is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, though it also forms one of the oldest. A career in this industry, according to the lecturer, is very fascinating. However, one should be ready to face the seasonality in the industry in order to have full enjoyment of the profession. It is also important that one has some background in the tourism sector in order to qualify as an employee in this industry. Jobs in this industry are seasonal. During the peak seasons, especially during the holidays, it is much easier to get employment. However, the situation can be very different during the off-season. Working in this industry has a number of advantages. One gets to interact with a number of people from different social backgrounds. It also opens the global market to the employee concerned. However, the main disadvantage in this industry is the seasonality that it comes with. During the off-seasons, one may be forced to focus on other activities.

Peugeot also gave another lecture. This employer explained what they look for in an employee. They were very categorical that success in classwork and good grades are very important as a potential candidate for a job. However, they explained that once in the industry, it may not be about what was learned in the classroom. It needs an individual to think beyond class and determine how best he or she can face real-life challenges within the industry. In this industry, the main advantage is that employers are always willing to help employees advance their careers in order to manage the market competition. However, it is very demanding in terms of time. They are potential employers in the future.

Another lecture was given by Yeah But Limited company officials. This lecture was focused on the activities that take place during an interview. In this lecture, the focus was given to the need to have self-awareness. An individual should know his or her own capacity, and be able to determine how he or she can counter some of his or her weaknesses during an interview. Although the lecture never focused on the industry, its advantages, and its disadvantages, it focused on the need to know how to communicate well in the workplace. It discussed the importance of social skills, and general behavior at the workplace. The fifth lecture was given by Santander Bank. This employer emphasized the importance of potential employees to gather enough knowledge that is relevant in this field. The employer stated that the finance industry is one of the most competitive industries in the world. According to this lecture, finance has still remained one of the preferred employers among freshly graduated college students. It emphasized the challenges in this industry other than the potential benefits. The fraudster using the emerging technologies poses a serious threat in this industry and it would require employees to know how to deal with them. However, the remuneration in this industry remains very attractive.

In the current job market, competition is very stiff. As a graduate, it is important that one develops a strategy for hunting jobs in the market. There must be a mechanism through which one advertises himself in the market. The social networking system has come out as the best strategy through which an individual can use to reach out to the potential employer. The employer must know that the person applying for the job has the capacity to handle a given task in the best way possible. I have used social networks as a way of looking for jobs in the market. I have been keen on attracting the attention of employers in a professional manner. It has not been lost to me that friends and families make the most important links to attractive careers. As such, Facebook has been one of the most important networking tools in looking for employment. I have managed to turn my Facebook account into a job-hunting site where I can easily get an introduction to desirable jobs. With the help of these friends and family members, it is possible to develop a network through which I can get leads to a lucrative employment opportunity.

Another networking tool that has been important is LinkedIn. In this network, I have stated all the academic credentials I currently have. I have managed to create a pool of friends in this network from different professions. I have created a professional profile that demonstrates my credentials, the interests I have in life, and the future plans I have with this career. Most of the friends I have in this network are professionals in various industries who sent me friend requests or former colleagues. A number of the friends on this social site are people who are not known to me. However, we share a lot, and this seems to help in focusing on the career. Although these social sites are very helpful in acting as appropriate leads to the desired career, some of the people signed up on social media are fraudsters. An individual may claim to be a senior manager with Coca-Cola Company, while in a real sense he is a jobless individual trying to make ends meet. An Analysis of Employment Strengths and Weaknesses to be stated During a Graduate Job Interview

It is always important to have self-awareness of one’s capabilities when hunting for a job. When one is faced with an interview for a particular job, the ability to express his or herself will be the main determinant of whether or not he or she will be successful in getting the job. I am aware of the fact that the employer will be interested in knowing my capacities, and some of the qualities that will make me a better employee who will bring a positive change within the firm. One of the most important factors that I will state to the interviewer is my academic credentials. The fact that I have a degree in this field makes me an appropriate candidate for the task that the firm has to offer. Another important quality that will be important to mention during the interview is my knowledge of emerging technologies such as social networking technologies. This would make me the right candidate to help the firm manage the emerging trends in the market which has remained a nightmare for many of them. Given the fact that I am flexible to change, and I am enthusiastic about facing new challenges in my line of duty, I will play a core role in making the firm manage change within the industry.

This way, it becomes easy for the management to know the role I will play within the firm and the main reason for my hiring. It is important, however, to be realistic. With the strengths stated to the interviewer, it would be necessary to identify weaknesses so that one can the employer knows that I have an understanding of myself. One weakness worth stating is the fact that I resent excessive pressure from the management. Cases where my supervisor assigns tasks that are not within my mandate and knowledge and demands success always make me inefficient. However, I have been working on ways to mitigate the weakness. I am flexible and quick to learn, and if the supervisor is willing to allow me some time to adjust, I can deliver excellent work.

An Action Plan on How I Intend To Engage With The Department’s Employability Personal Tutor In The Next Semester After The Completion Of The Module

It is clear that after graduation; jobs will not come knocking at the door immediately. It would demand that I get out and sell myself to the employer in order to be noticed. I will, therefore, develop a close relationship with the employability personal tutor in the next semester in order to guide my path toward the desired employment. I plan to pursue self-employment, which is even more challenging. I would like to know how it would be possible to start and succeed in this field.
