RFP (Request for Proposal): Assist in creating a scoring sheet aligned with RFP

RFP (Request for Proposal): Assist in creating a scoring sheet aligned with RFP criteria.
Notes from my boss:
Email: Hi K,
For the grading sheet, I would want a document that aligns with the criteria that are listed in the RFP. Reviewers should be able to go through each criterion and make their notes on whether or not the proposal meets the requirements. For each item, reviewers could provide a grading (examples are does not meet requirements, meets requirements, exceeds requirements) and then their notes.
Additional Notes:
Help with the scoring sheet, so I’d written you back on that. So it is being aligned with the criteria that are in the RFP. That’s the whole thing so that let’s say it’s Nicki or let’s say it’s me and we have six companies that have responded. It’s so that I am able to grade each six of those proposals with the same criteria. So it’s all about giving us a system so that we have some consistency. And let’s say a company submits a proposal, and they say that they want to keep 80% of all of the revenue that they generate. And let’s say that there’s another company that says they only want to keep 40%. Like I want to be able to make my note and be able to compare that criterion for the various proposals. Or let’s say one of the first points is the company background and history, and let’s say that a company has only been around two years. And let’s say another company has been around 30 years, and they list all of these examples of what they’ve done with associations. So it’s just being able to have a sheet where you can have those criterion and be able to write them down or make notes on all of them and say where their strengths and weaknesses. And what you often see in an RFP with the scoring is either grading them from one to five, like one doesn’t meet the expectation at all, the five is strongest. Or something like where I sent you, it doesn’t meet the expectations or the criterion, or they meet them or they exceed them. So in a lot of cases, that’s just the easiest thing. Oh, they meet the expectations, but hey, this company exceeds them. Or this company doesn’t meet the expectation or the criterion at all because they either didn’t include it in the response, or I could read the response, but I know it’s so weak that they’re not going to meet the criterion.
Yeah, and I think the most important thing is if I’m grading, I’m assuming we’re going to have six or eight companies respond to this. So I want a sheet where I’m looking at the first company. I put my name, Debra, I’m the reviewer. I put the proposal, the name of the company. Let’s say it’s AMC or Bulletin or Tristar. And then I have my notes on each criteria. And then the second one, I fill out the sheet again. And so it will be Debra, I’m still the reviewer. The second company, and I make all my notes. So at the end of it, I’m going to have six sheets. And then I also would be good if you have a spreadsheet where it has the reviewer, and then their grades for all of them. Yeah. So you see what Nicki thought of all of them, what Debra thought of all of them, what Josh thought of all of them, what Heather thought of all of them. So just, you know, for each individual, being able to grade the responses, and then some sort of summary sheet where we would be able to summarize all the information. Because Nicki might think, oh, this company did not meet the expectations. But if five other reviewers thought they did, maybe Nicki didn’t see something that everybody else is seeing. So it just helps to have it all in one place. So I think with that, that’s the next step. Because the train’s leaving the station on this one.
