It is beneficial for you to research and understand the benefits and challenges of this profession to determine if you will be able to remain healthy in each dimension.
STRUCTURE OF WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT:
1. Introduction (no abstract required)
Introduce your chosen career. why you are looking at this particular career
what influences helped you make this decision
Remember that an introduction includes and introduction to the content of the paper as well as a thesis statement or statement of purpose – what am I going to read about in this paper?
2. Using the Dimensions as Sub-headings
Use physical, emotional, interpersonal, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, and occupational health as the subheadings, and under each one explain: What are the common issues (challenges – positive or negative) within this dimension of health in this profession?
What does the literature say about the challenges of remaining healthy in this dimension? This is a RESEARCH paper on your career not an opinion paper.
What will you do to remain sound in each area of health? (be specific and reflective). The paper is about YOU in the career, not just about the career.
It must be evident that you have discussed three different concepts under each dimension (see concepts on page three of this document)
You must write about each of the seven dimensions

4. Personal Impact:
This is your conclusion. Reflect on your experience with researching and writing this paper. Discuss: How has this exercise in critical thinking impacted you regarding your eventual professional career?
How has it impacted your personal perception of health?

This portion should be about 1/2 a page in length

FORMAT OF WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT:

7th edition APA Format
Include a minimum of 8 sources: minimum of 4 peer-reviewed sources
you can also use textbooks or other academic material
1 source must be a website of the professional organization of your future career (MPETA, CATA etc)
other sources from non-academic material (but reputable sites) government sites, etc

Typed double-spaced, number all pages as per APA format.
Title page: title, student name and number, course identification, instructor’s name, date (month/day/year) as per 7th edition APA format
Submit the assignment to the Assignment folder on Nexus and hand in paper copies of all of your references with the section of information used in the paper HIGHLIGHTED on the last day of class. Use a folder/duotang with your name on it and your name written at the top of each article.
