We can only grow as a corporation if we understand and agree on what we stand for and then work hard to achieve our goals. Today, my solemn task is to provide you with an overview of the company’s mission, vision, and value statements. The primary reason is to ensure that we all understand how to work together and thrive by serving our customers and other stakeholders. Through our cooperation, the company can thrive, and the benefits will triple for all of you.

Who We Are

Provident National Corporation (PNC) provides customers with a wide range of services, including individuals, small businesses, government entities, and corporations. The retail banking sector has at least 12 million clients and small enterprises that rely on the bank to get assistance with their deposits, credit cards, lending, investment, and cash management. Next, we have the asset management group comprising the PNC private bank, which offers customized investments, trust and estate administration, wealth planning, and cash management to high-net-worth individuals. In addition, it has the PNC private bank in Hawthorn, which has the most prominent multifamily offices in the country, with the sole task of providing multi-wealth solutions to affluent families. Then, the PNC institutional asset management is the manager and trusty for non-profit organizations, national retirement plans, and companies. The asset management group had $320 billion by June 2022 (About, 2022).

The third division is Corporate and institutional banking, which strives to gain clients in the middle market. I have provided an overview of our corporation, but I urge all of you to check our website and understand our services. Remember, regardless of your role, when a customer sees you wearing the company’s tag, they will ask questions, and they rightly expect you to provide an accurate response.

Vision Statement

It is important that you understand that the vision statement declares the company’s future outlook and provides its purpose and aspirations. It is the foundation for the organization’s existence and basically tells the world what the company wants to become (Johnson, 2021). In most cases, the vision statement is short and concise; it may be just a tagline that is easy to remember but gives a lasting impression. As an employee, it is imperative to understand what the company aspires to do so that every goal is directed toward the same vision. Noteworthy, despite being brief, is that the vision statement captures the individual roles of all the employees (Slåtten et al., 2021). As an employee, the vision helps you to understand what the company desires to achieve so that you can structure your work to meet the same objective. Thus, the small goals add up to ensure the company is steadily moving towards becoming what the founders pictured.

The vision entailed in the following words:

I started by explaining to you that we are a financial institution so that you will be able to comprehend the vision in light of the corporation’s strategic plan. Therefore, the word “strong” implies that the services offered are sustainable and well-founded on enduring principles. Deep implies offering detail for each of the available products. The “Focused on you” denotes an organization that is interested in the people. So, who are these people? As you would rightly guess, the employees, customers, partners, and shareholders are all parties of interest to PNC. The vision is short, clear, stable, and general, as required for sustainability. Therefore, we strive to ensure the welfare and satisfaction of all the people who are involved in the corporation, just as one big and happy family.

Mission Statement

The mission is basically the daily running of the organization, comprising the tasks and expectations of every person. It is vital for it to challenge the emotional response of the employees so that they can perform and ensure daily results.

It is worth noting that the mission provides an overview of daily operations that lead to the sustainability of the company. For instance, it entails all the process that takes place, ensuring that a company gets financial rewards and maintains a good relationship with the workers, customers, and communities while conserving the environment. The underlying motivations of the company may also be included in the mission statement. The implication is that it is the mission statement is longer and more specific.

As an employee, your daily commitment should be showing diligence in providing financial services to clients in a way that makes them meet desired goals while feeling supported. As you can see, the goal is not just to fulfill the main task of providing financial assistance to workers but also to create an environment where the employees, communities, and other stakeholders can thrive.

Organizational Values

The values are a list of attributes that give the company its ethical stance. They provide the expected standard of behavior from the employees and other people directly involved in the company. Therefore, it is crucial for the workers to abide by those standards so that any visitor can easily see it being portrayed uniformly by all the workers. The core values are often the minimum expectations for moral conduct, which may have legal implications when a worker does the contrary. Values have a meaningful addition to the success of the company as they uphold the people to have high-performance standards and show professionalism.

Diversity is about multiculturalism, which, as you can see, is the true reflection of the company. Take a minute and look around; you see a white neighbor, a man, a woman, black, young, older, and even religious. We understand that our uniqueness promotes innovations and makes the customers feel that there are no stereotypes and prejudices that the company entertains. To enhance the quality of life, PNC advocates for work-life balance by providing employees with family leave and allowances to allow some time for fun (Veesar & Bozai, 2017). The customer is respected and attended to with all the respect and integrity because they are the real boss. Teamwork and performance go hand in hand because this is an organization that needs the unity and cooperation of everyone.

The vision, mission, and value statements of an organization are essential in communicating the essence and reason for its existence. When people understand what they are doing and the reason, they get motivated to perform better. Moreover, the best way to coach the people working in the organization is by giving them information about the company’s current state and what is desired. The implication of doing so is to involve them in making ideas for improvement and positive changes. Identifying the root cause of a problem is possible by studying the discrepancies between the expectations and the reality of the company. All stakeholders can unite to improve the firm upon understanding what is missing.

The vision, mission, and vision statements form the strategic organizational plan and purpose that leads to the continuous development of the company. As an employee of PNC, it is vital that you understand your respective work through the lens of the organization’s goals and objectives. When communicating or performing any task that relates to PNC, you must act in a manner that upholds the value of the company. Notably, this admonition applies to how you manage social media accounts, given that people already know that you are one of us. Make sure that in your operations, you learn to respect the organization and encourage colleagues to do the same.
