1. RW-What do all great leaders have in common? Discuss the following questions. Of the various leadership styles, what style identifies your most common leadership style, or in other words, the style you use every day? Describe how people respond to you when you use this style.
My style of leadership I think is Transformational Leadership. It’s natural for me to encourage and see the people transformed that I come into contact with. To grow and become the best version of myself and I want that for other people as well. I often have to encourage myself to fight through any and every challenge to come out on top. The vision is to succeed by any means necessary. Motivating myself and others is very natural because life can be hard and stressful, but the determination to be my best and not do it is much more stressful. I’m willing to lead by example and the people around me respond by being accepting and appreciative of my efforts. The positiveness that I want to receive is what I give.
2. MG-Great leaders share several universal traits. They possess a clear vision, inspiring others to work towards a shared goal. They are excellent communicators, expressing their ideas persuasively and actively listening to diverse perspectives. After analyzing the various leadership styles, I would say I am a servant leader. Servant leadership is a valuable style that prioritizes the needs and growth of others, foster collaboration, and empowers team members. People might feel their needs and opinions are genuinely heard and considered, fostering trust and motivation. Leaders who invest in their team’s development can witness increased skills, confidence, and satisfaction. However, prioritizing others’ needs can lead to overwork or neglecting one’s own well-being. Setting boundaries and maintaining self-care are crucial.
