Qualitative Research Study Plan
Sample
For successful completion of this research, the researcher identified 100 participants to participate in the study. The participants will be drawn from ten different schools, which will be divided into public or private. Out of 100 participants, twenty will be teachers who will be drawn from all the schools participating in this study. Ten parents will also be selected for this research. The rest of the participants will be students who will be selected randomly for the study.
Study Survey
Interviews and questionnaires will be used as data collection tools. The study will be conducted by going to the field to collect the data needed to complete the study. The participants of the study will be expected to fill out questionnaires containing research questions. Participants will be interviewed by administering the questionnaires to get their response (Holliday, 2007).
Study Design
Since the study is qualitative, the researcher will apply qualitative research methodology. In this study, data will be collected through qualitative techniques. This means that all the participants will be interviewed by administering the interview questions.
Data Analysis
The data will be analyzed to have a clear understanding of the phenomenon under investigation. Besides, data analysis will provide clear identification and understanding of the available information derived from the data sources. Afterward, the researcher will determine the relationship between correlations and meaning by organizing the information according to different categories (Cresswell, 2007).
This will allow the researcher to enumerate and evaluate the available data, and identify the frequency of the study themes or patterns. Afterward, the findings of the study will be used to support the hypothesis and reflect on the study themes and patterns. Data presentation tools will include diagrams created at the end that must reflect the study results. Tables, graphs, scatter plots, correlation relationship, ANOVA analysis, and histograms are other examples of data presentation techniques that will be used in data analysis. The results of the study will then be presented using the identified research tools.
Conclusion
The study design and the identified data collection tools will be used to collect, analyze and interpret data required to complete the study. The researcher will then provide a detailed report on the study findings. Also, the research design will help in comparing the current study with various studies, which are related to the phenomenon under investigation. Finally, the study will be used to provide recommendations for future research.
