The paper is to focus mainly on Ethics Theory. There are three main things to accomplish in your presentation and paper:
1. identify/clarify/explain the ethics theory/theories you most defend and why.
2. identify at least one controversial ethical issue of interest to you (see below for options). Briefly explain why you’re interested in these issues and briefly state both sides of the controversy.

Race: Possible topics–Is America a Racist country? Has it gotten better or worse? What are the causes of Racism and will it ever end? Is the “confederate flag” a racist symbol? Should anyone use the “N” word? Is Affirmative Action legitimate? What about “Reparations”? What about “Black Lives Matter”? What about CRT?
Culture: For example–Should people from other cultures be made to assimilate or become more American—e.g., should there be an English-only policy? Privacy: For example–Have we lost the right to privacy in America? Do you have the right to privacy in the workplace? Can your boss look at your activity on the computer or phone at work? Should the government be spying on us? Gun control issues, Censorship, Corporate-Governmental Espionage/Spying etc.
Religious Issues: For example–Should prayer be allowed in public schools? Should religion be taught in public schools? Should public institutions allow the celebrations of religion (e.g., Christmas scenes)? Should religion play a role in politics?, Religious Freedoms and Rights, Religion’s impact on society (good or bad?), etc.
Sports Issues: For example–Should athletes be allowed to use steroids and other performance enhancing drugs? Should they be better role models? Should they be paid so much more than, say, teachers and policeman? Should we pay college athletes who bring in fans? Gender equity issues: should women be allowed to compete alongside men in sports?
