The multimedia storytelling project draws on all of the theoretical concepts and practices explored in the course and requires that you operationalize them for your own reporting assignment. You will construct a multimedia news story that allows you to discuss a contemporary manifestation of race or racism.
You may decide to construct a feature story that is an in-depth exploration of a particular topic or a profile of an individual with a compelling personal narrative.
You must draw on at least three “people” sources for your story. You do not need to include direct quotes from each one, but you are expected to interview at least three people as part of your research.
Finally, you must submit a list of sources (including interviews, databases, scholarly and popular literature) that informed your reporting.
