Navigate to the threaded discussion below and respond to the following using TWO workshop resources to support your answers:
As mentioned in the TED Talks video, systemic change often rises from the people themselves. Comment on the way this is described in the video and explain how, in your future role as a social worker, you can get people involved and active in their communities?
How can social workers ethically use technology and social media to advocate for social issues or promote social movements to address important issues or improve the lives of vulnerable populations? Support your answer with references to the Code of Ethics and course materials.
In your view, how can conflict theory be used by social workers to ethically promote change? Use an example at the individual, family, group, organization, or community level.
Your initial post is due by the end of the fourth day of the workshop.
Read and respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings, as well as all instructor follow-up questions directed to you, by the end of the workshop.
Your postings also should:
Be well developed by providing clear answers with evidence of critical thinking by providing evidence.
Add greater depth to the discussion by introducing new ideas.
Provide clarification to classmates’ questions and provide insight into the discussion.
Be posted on two different days during the workshop.
Self-assess your initial post and response using the rubric and make improvements as needed to meet expectations and ensure that your work fulfills all the requirements.
