Introduction
The inclusion of students with diverse needs is one of the fundamental societal requirements. It is necessary for the development and growth of all humans, including educators, children, and families. Everyone who devotes time and resources to developing, educating, and nurturing young children and their families believes in the value of inclusion. Inclusion is a philosophical approach that recognizes the diversity of children’s abilities and needs and the breadth and depth of support available to children and their families. Through the provision of inclusive education, which includes essential and additional training, support, and funding, every child has the opportunity to participate in activities to the greatest extent possible. My approach to inclusion would be to take the necessary steps to create and maintain an environment where everyone has the same experience.
Engagements to Families Through Effective Communication
Consequently, having multiple interactions with families is necessary to accomplish what needs to be done. My philosophy as an early childhood educator is to establish and maintain a productive partnership with families and communities that fosters the growth and development of children and their families. This partnership should help children learn and grow, as well as the families of those children. Encourages academic development within the family context, values multiple points of view, and emphasizes open and honest communication between the home and the classroom.
Educators committed to their profession advocate acceptance and participation of all children and families, regardless of their strengths and needs. It is an essential factor in ensuring that the goals of inclusivity are met effectively. People can participate in various programs where diversity is recognized, naturally welcomed, and valued as a source of enrichment rather than division (Schuelka et al., 2019). It is done by constantly improving everyone’s communication skills to establish a trustworthy working relationship, and open communication channels must be established. It is a step toward greater parental involvement in school activities (Schuelka et al., 2019). Families who regularly monitor their children’s academic performance at school are more committed to assisting them in achieving tremendous success. When schools and families collaborate, they can have a more in-depth discussion about children’s development, which allows them to set more attainable goals and plans to promote student achievement. As a result, I will maintain regular contact with all families through various communication methods.
Importance of Family Engagement
Family engagement benefits the children significantly since their families are actively involved in their education. Participation includes attending school activities, assisting with homework at home, providing critical feedback on educational methods, and engaging in school or classroom activities. The engagement plays a key role in ensuring the set objectives are achieved in considerations with the quality improvement center (QIC). Together with the child’s primary caregivers and educators, families help foster the child’s development inside and outside the classroom.
Conclusion
In conclusion, educators who support inclusion should work on challenging negative attitudes toward diversity while acknowledging the existence of bias and prejudice and their consequences. As a result, I would strive to foster an environment in which every member of the community feels accepted and welcomed. My inclusion philosophy recognizes that each child has unique characteristics and needs. As a result, each case’s scope and level of assistance provided to children and families are unique. As a result, I will encourage children of all abilities to participate fully in inclusive education by providing them with the necessary training and support to meet the objectives.
