Palouse Industries is a society-based non-profit organization that focuses on enhancing the lives of people suffering from diabetes together with their families all over Latah as well as Whitman Counties. The organization is committed to serving individuals with diverse abilities and skills across the world.
The mission statement of Palouse Industries entails providing employment, training as well as education to all individuals suffering from various diseases and disabilities residing in Latah and Whitman counties with an objective of helping them to achieve high status of live within the community.
The vision of the organization is to strive and gain support for all undertakings and operations of charitable organizations, public agencies, and business as well as ensuring that every preschool effectively and sufficiently serves the requirements/needs of individuals living with disabilities all over the globe.
The organization has numerous programs designed to assist the local communities. One such program is Early Childhood that is operated by ELS (Early learning services). This program is a childcare and preschool program that offers chances for community as well as socials participation to young children who require or does not require special attention.
The organization also offers support families via its YCFP program whose focus is on learning, growth and health of partners in the community, caregivers as well as ensuring that parents are taught how to utilize the motivation, abilities and skills of their children to ensure that they succeed in life. Via cooperation and partnership, the organization has been able to offer critical services to those individuals with disabilities and who reside in the rural parts of Latah and Whitman counties (Walsh & Wigens, 2003).
The population the organization serves includes thousands of individuals suffering from diabetes as well as other disabilities within Latah and Whitman counties. It also encompass thousands of young children aged between 6 week and 7 years in addition to offering intervention services to young children between the time they were born up to 3 years and who suffer from development related delays.
The organization is as well assisting families of the individuals with disabilities. Some of the areas the organization engages itself with respect to the stipulated population is provision of employment services, vocational skill creation, developmental therapy, childcare, education, evaluation as well as identifying individuals living with disabilities (Palouse Industries, 2013).
Over the last few years, the Palouse Industries have achieved much of its objectives.
