The topic of high-fidelity simulation and its efficiency is extensively covered in the research field. For example, the article by Hanshaw and Dickerson (2020) offers a review of 20 studies regarding the objective outcomes of this educational practice. However, no scholarly works draw attention to how pre-licensure nursing students evaluate high-fidelity simulation and how it influences their education satisfaction. The proposed study, titled “High-Fidelity Simulation Impact on Pre-Licensure Nursing Students’ Education Satisfaction and Increased Performance: A Scoping Review,” is going to address this gap.
A specific PICO question will guide the proposed research process. Among (P) pre-licensure nursing students, does (I) high-fidelity simulation, (C) compared to not using this educational approach, lead to (O) the students’ improved satisfaction and performance? The question demonstrates that the proposed study will pursue a few significant aims. Thus, the scoping review’s leading objective is to find whether it is reasonable and practical to rely on high-fidelity simulation when it comes to pre-licensure student education. The findings can demonstrate the educational approach’s increased efficiency if it appears that the given simulation leads to better learning outcomes and improved student satisfaction and academic performance.
