Of all the EU members, I was most interested in Germany. The main reason, in this case, is the sociological and political aspects related to the society of that country and the work done by its government, specifically the process of increased immigration from Eastern countries. Moreover, interactions between the older generation who witnessed the beginning of these changes and the youth regarding such topics as LGBT and SJW rights have considerable potential for study (Gräf et al., 2020). The interaction between Germany and Israel on the issue of armaments serves as a symbolic and curious event that has attracted my attention, as it shows the readiness to defend liberal values utterly. Thus, the history of this country and its subsequent journey toward political liberalization and the adoption of Western principles have given rise to the analysis which will be of considerable interest in the academic community.

After conducting a detailed analysis of each EU country, I concluded that Germany is of the most significant interest. One of the main reasons for this is the program of facilitated migration, which makes this country a leading global example of diversity and multiculturalism. However, based on the available research, there is some controversy in society on the topic of the refugee reception program. An examination of the fundamental theses of both sides and subsequent analysis of the effects of National Socialism on the culture of perception is of severe theoretical value (Gräf et al., 2020). My interest lies in how a country that went through World War II as an aggressor country has been able to change. Thus, taking all of the aspects mentioned above into account, Germany is the main focus of my academic and personal interests.
