China’s geography also presents management challenges to FedEx because of its size and market complexity. While China is generally large relative to the US in terms of size and population, its population of more than one billion people is mainly concentrated in small regions. The company currently experiences the challenge of capacity related to a lack of slot at the transportation hubs, road and railways congestions, and others.
