Earlier in this course you posed an academic research question, and over the pas

Earlier in this course you posed an academic research question, and over the past few weeks, as you have gone through the research and writing process, you have formulated portions of a full draft of your paper. Now you should be ready to answer your question by putting your academic argument into its final form. You should include an introduction that presents the issue or research question to your reader. It will include background information the reader will need in order to evaluate the paper. The introduction may or may not contain the thesis statement, which, as I said earlier, may emerge later in the course of your narrative.
The body of your paper should present reasons and evidence in support of your argument. You should incorporate counterarguments and respond to them. Keep in mind that writers make the strongest arguments when they are able to consider and rebut the arguments of the other side, including the unstated assumptions, which you may want to address in your paper. Finally, the conclusion should not be a mere perfunctory summary of the contents and thesis of the paper, but should try to sum it up forcefully and dramatically (without, of course, overdoing it) so that the reader is left seeing the paper in the best possible light.
Conventions
Write about eight typed, double-spaced pages (about 2500 words, not counting the bibliography in this total).
Apply feedback in peer review in order to make revisions to the final draft.
Establish the context of the paper and the importance of the topic under consideration.
Declare your position on the issue by making a claim.
Develop your argument by supporting your claim with evidence.
Consider alternative positions/counterarguments.
Address a particular audience of readers interested in the topic who may already be participating in the conversation you’ve entered.
Use the most effective rhetorical approach to reach your intended audience.
Conclude by tying together your key points and providing readers with ideas for further consideration.
–Only use the sources I have in this annotated bibliography! I have updated the title to be ” the morality of abortion” this needs to be an unbiased paper that answers the questions in the critical preface.
