The employees’ compensation process in healthcare institutions is an important issue that is dealt with both by management and non-management staff. Some responsibilities are shared between the two; however, the most important ones differ. Carrying out the payment part of the process is the most important function of the administrators while informing the workers about compensation policies and keeping contact with them lies with the non-permanent officials. These processes sometimes lack efficiency, and in order to improve them, it is necessary to add more transparency, quicker informing and higher employee motivation.

Administrators tackle all the payment issues, including staff costs and dealing with the payroll. It is the responsibility of the administrators to make decisions concerning the compensation sums and the time period of the compensation. Carrying out the payments and verifying the claims is also one of the functions of the administration. Administrators report to peer administrators and the director. At the same time, non-management officials are the ones responsible for keeping the staff informed about compensation conditions. Similarly to the administration, they can also deal with claims verification and confirmation (Flynn, Valentine & Meglich, 2021). In terms of reporting, they are also held accountable by administrators and other officials. In general, both administrators and non-permanent officials play an important part in employees’ compensation. However, the administrators are the ones responsible for the implementation of compensation procedures, while non-permanent officials play a complementary role.

The following recommendations can be used to improve compliance with the requirements of workers’ compensation. A higher level of transparency is necessary when it comes to establishing rules and managing processes. Then, this transparency must include a more efficient informing process, and all the officials involved in the work should be informed more quickly. This way, they will have enough time for policy and procedure updating (McConnell, 2019). And finally, workers’ motivation is also important for improved results.

To conclude, both administrators and non-management members are important in dealing with employees’ compensation. However, administrators are the staff members that play the leading roles and define how the whole process is carried out. Better requirements compliance can be achieved by establishing transparent rules, making the information process more efficient and working on the motivation of the workers.
