Introduction

Nowadays, many countries are being paralyzed by infectious disease COVID-19. Since December, it has been spreading all around the globe extremely fast. Still, the governments have not found any solution to this dilemma yet. It turned out that no one was ready for it; that is why the process of treatment is so long-lasting. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the current situation in the world caused by COVID-19 and to suggest possible changes that will occur as a result of what has happened.

The History of Appearance of COVID-19: How it Affected the Rhythm of Daily Life

COVID-19 was identified on December 10, 2019, in Wuhan city in China, where one of the suppliers on the local market was hospitalized with pneumonia. The governments of the countries did not pay attention to this case, and the international tourism functioned without any changes. It resulted in the extremely fast transmission of the disease all over the world. The first COVID-19 case appeared in UAE in the middle of January (Duncan & Gautam, 2020).

Many laboratories have already started searching for the cure, but at the moment, there is no treatment. The spread of the virus affected all spheres of life, including politics, economics, art, education, and healthcare.

First of all, COVID-19 has significantly affected the everyday life of people. In many countries, it is forbidden to leave the house. The working process also needs modification – people work online, communicate using social networks, and plan their time independently. At first sight, all these things separately do not cause any severe problems. However, in the case when they occur simultaneously, they change the lifestyle of every human entirely.

COVID-19 showed that not enough studies were done to understand the epidemiological level and to find the solution in time. None the less, this disease is a great chance to get some data and analyze it using different technologies. Researches of the evolution of the virus, the speed of its spread, and its ability to mutate would be helpful for future generations in the situation of the similar pandemic.

The search for the vaccine requires the collaboration of several laboratories to provide a more efficient result. However, there is a problem of shifting the priorities by the scientific institutes. The economics of most countries has been overcoming a challenging period. The airline, tourism, and hospitality industries suffer the most in the current situation. UAE is not an exception as it had to close its borders and cancel all the flights from the airports of the country. There are several reasons for the crisis in this industry: first of all, these spheres depend on the global market, that is why if some countries close their borders, that already means that the local airline company is losing money.

Secondly, these sectors of economics survive not because of the high prices, but thanks to the number of clients. It helps as well to keep people informed by the messages from a chatbot with the latest news and statistics (Moideen, 2018). Artificial intelligence is a way to automate and simplify the processes during the pandemic and make this period more comfortable for thousands of humans.

Recommendations

The experience of COVID-19 is beneficial in the case of future pandemics as a source of information and examples. Thanks to this infectious disease, it is possible to propose several recommendations for the next generations. First of all, having a plan for epidemics and understanding how it would be realized is crucial. Secondly, it is necessary to monitor the situation all the time, so it would be easy to identify the disease at the very beginning.

The next step is to reduce the spread of the virus in the country by establishing the rules of social distancing and home isolation. The healthcare system should be reorganized in an efficient way and get financial aid immediately. It is essential not to forget about the communications: the authorities should keep people informed, provide them with access to online platforms for working and learning.

This pandemic showed that no one is safe and that the priorities should be balanced in another way. Business, entertainment, or marketing do not seem of much importance under the present circumstances. The governmental budget should be disaggregated in a more socially-oriented way. For example, more money should be allocated for medical education, especially in the sphere of epidemic problems. What is more, the government has to care more about people: control the number of working places, provide financial add during the hard times. All these steps need long-range planning, which means that it is crucial to start now to be ready for future challenges.

The pandemic affects the value of sustainable development goals. It would be necessary to improve the healthcare system, to modify the educational field, to reorganize the governmental budget, and to make several innovations for employees. All in all, there is no doubt that life would change after COVID-19 – it would be switched more to the online sphere and care of social and medical institutions by the government.
