With this appeal, I wish to express my desire to pursue a master’s degree at Yunnan Normal University, China, under the scholarship program.

I am Cambodian, born in Takeo province, Cambodia. I entered Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the first range university in Vietnam in the area of Science and Technology, majored in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineer, and I graduated in August 2019. I studied a wide range of subjects including Programming language, Applied Software Engineering, Fundamentals of Information Transmission, Network Management and Information Networks, Mobile Communication. And I can speak Vietnamese fluently too. The pleasure I got from studying and doing research during 5 years in the university made me to be specific in the study of Computer Application Technology. By reading the course curriculum available online, I have found that the subject material covered will best suit my career goals. That’s why I am eager to apply for master’s degree in Yunnan Normal University, China, on Yunnan Government Scholarship. It is now my utmost desire to pursue my career path to become a good researcher for my country.

Talking about my personality, by fact, I am the socially active person with friendly nature, a good communicator indeed who is blessed with many friends. I keep a keen view of the reality of life, thus approach people with positive mind and attitude and always prove to be helpful with honest efforts and true dedication. Besides that, I always feel very joyous and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different backgrounds and cultures. Such meetings are always important because they are proven to be useful in the future and facilitate problem-solving, whether you are working or studying in your country or abroad. Since I was a child, I was diligent and I especially enjoyed studying the basics of physics, mathematics, logic and science in general.

My main two educational objectives are to gain a master’s degree and to learn to speak Chinese. Chinese is becoming a global language, so I feel it’s necessary to learn it. Analyzing and observing the fast development of China, I am really impressed by the way these individuals have proved themselves to be dedicated to their work, and with true efforts they have set China as a successful example for other third world or developed countries. Research is the hallmark of innovations we see in this century. Such global innovations are result of foundational facilities provided by country under supervision of highly experienced people, and China is providing these all facilities. The fast-growing economy, technological advancement and the global ranking education institutes of China with high reputation makes a great aspiration to the students and professionals for the better career perspectives. Thus, such kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further, and I am highly satisfied with the decision I have taken. All these reasons put together to make China an ideal place for me to do my master’s degree. One of my long-term goals is to work as an IT officer in Chinese companies or to open a business in the field of IT – computer technology, and learning about computer application technology in China will be essential to make my endeavors a success.

Thinking about studying in China, I anticipate the language barrier will be an issue at first. However, I plan to work hard early on to learn the language, Chinese. And I already started learning Chinese online by myself, for example, by watching Chinese teaching YouTube channels. During study time in China, I am going to invest the first year for Chinese studying before enter university where I have to study in Chinese. Then I will study and research as program schedule and try to find extra detail by myself from Internet, library, etc. I have to do research for assignments and also have to get through some examination for testing my ability in the major. Beside this, I am going to enter labs to do a few projects with professors. In the last semester, I have to do graduate thesis with the thesis topic related to the major. I believe that this master’s program will provide me with chance to get to know with computer application systems and affiliates me dedicatedly to the industries, which are living examples of computer application technology.

The IT sector in Cambodia is in need of modernization. Therefore, I would be glad and honored to apply my knowledge gained from this scholarship program towards improving the state of the communication and information system, as well as network, in Cambodia. After completion of my master’s studies, I hope to be able to take part in maximizing my country’s research technology in such fields to benefit its economy and enhance the living statement of my compatriots. There are many good companies, factories in the field of IT, where I can apply my ability to improve development in there. I believe that with my work and studies, I have a solid foundation, but through the master’s program, I hope to develop expertise and boost my career prospects.

If I receive this award, I can focus solely on my studies. I will work hard to implement my goals of learning Chinese and gaining a master’s degree at Yunnan Normal University, and your trust in me will not be wasted.

My professional aspiration and personal ambitions intersect in accounting. On the career forefront, what I enjoy most about being an accountant is the knowledge that I can gain in respect to the various fields relating to the organization and the country I work in. I am extremely gratified to have secured a place for a master’s degree in Accounting program at AIT and highly confident that the course will help me acquire concrete skills and techniques to serve the corporate world and also get me a step closer to attaining my career goal.

On a personal viewpoint, while pursuing higher education in a reputed Institute abroad is my primary objective, relocating from India is quite challenging in terms of managing finances. I am thereby in the pursuit of finding the right balance between being competitive, having the best facilities and programs, excellent quality of education and cost incurred.

Acquiring a GOI-IES scholarship provides me with the prospect to study abroad so as to obtain a better education than in my home country. This will certainly help in avoiding the burden of taking a student loan and to have stress-free learning, where I will be able to maximize my college experience through volunteering chances, and internships in place of undertaking a part-time job for paying off the debt and meeting other expenses.

This generous scholarship will allow me to pursue the course in the desired institute without having to compromise on the program and facilities. My dedicated academic focus will then be only on the accounts with an emphasis on implementation and stakeholder management, by taking up real-time projects. Having previously worked as an accountant, I would like to elevate my skills to become an ACCA professional by exploring classes laid down by the ACCA Ireland Committee. Moreover, obtaining this scholarship will mark me competitive, add value to my resume and present me more attractive to my future employers, in addition to showcasing my exceptional academic, professional and personal abilities.

I am confident and sure that I will contribute my share to the economy and welfare of Ireland by being a competent accountant in return for the prime education Ireland offers me. My beneficial training will significantly increase the impact and effectiveness of Ireland’s international presence as a great place to live, study, work, visit, invest and do business. If I am selected for this scholarship, it will create an international platform for me to promote Irish education, arts and culture, encouraging more brilliant students to consider Ireland and thus add to the Irish economy.’

I will also introduce my fellow colleagues to the Indian culture and art, which will promote my country’s values and systems. I would be glad to help my fellow students to plan a vacation or two in India, guiding them with the trip instructions and suggestions, thus promoting Indian tourism.
