In a written report, describe your assessment and plan for evidenced based interventions.
Include a diagnosis based on DSM-5 guidelines as well as any additional information you would consider to determine whether or not you should recommend hospitalization. Be sure to explain the influence of personal values that come in to play when engaging in diversity and difference in practice when working with this specific populations.
Include your insights related to understanding that, as a consequence of difference, a person’s life experiences may include oppression, poverty, marginalization, and alienation as well as privilege, power, and acclaim.
Determine how your personal examination of values could help other social workers assist clients with the same diagnosis, or who belong to the same vulnerable and/or diverse population.
Finally, be sure to include content related to knowledge about evidence-informed interventions to achieve the goals of clients and constituencies. Social workers understand theories of human behavior and the social environment, and critically evaluate and apply this knowledge to effectively intervene with clients and constituencies by analyzing and implementing evidence-informed interventions to achieve client and constituency goals.
