You are a social worker in private practice. More than a handful of your clients

You are a social worker in private practice. More than a handful of your clients in the past few years have been treated by a local psychiatrist who routinely puts his patients on massive doses of benzodiazepine —even patients without a discernable anxiety disorder. Some of your clients report that the medications are helpful. What is your ethical responsibility How do you proceed

Read Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich (essay) on canvas. A large group of U.S. citizens are described as the “working poor,” these people work long hours at jobs at or near the minimum wage. They do not have savings accounts and retirement savings. They often experience food insecurity. Do you think a social worker can appreciate the experience of the marginalization of the poor without having experienced it firsthand? What suggestions do you have for a client that is currently in need of food to supplement her family’s needs since this cannot be done on the family income? What benefits can your client apply for from local, state and/or federal social welfare services? What else can your client do to meet the family’s nutritional needs if there is not enough money available to do so? Include some of the social welfare programs that are available today, e.g. WIC.
Remember to cite 2 sources of information in your response.

This literature review should be around 5 pages (1-2 paragraphs for the first part, 4 pages for the second, and 1-2 paragraphs for the conclusion). I have attached the literature review prompt template for this assignment describing the parts. You can choose either my quantitative question or my qualitative question. Here are the questions to choose from and the hypothesis for each one (only choose one, either the qualitative or quantitative question and hypothesis)
Quantitative research Question: How much does the length of youth/adolescent homelessness associate with the severity of mental health outcomes?
Hypothesis: If a youth/adolescent experiences homelessness for an extended amount of time, there will be a stronger association with severe mental health outcomes, as measured by standardized mental health assessments.
Qualitative research question: What is the relationship between youth/adolescent homelessness and mental health?
Hypothesis: The relationship between youth/adolescent homelessness and mental health outcomes is significantly negative. Youths who experience homelessness will have greater levels of challenges concerning mental health.

Using this clinical best practice: CULTURALLY MODIFIED TRAUMA-FOCUSED CBT for ch

Using this clinical best practice: CULTURALLY MODIFIED TRAUMA-FOCUSED CBT for children and adolescents, submit a three-to-four-page paper, double-spaced and in APA style, incorporating at least 2 readings (attached) reflecting upon the readings and your social work practice regarding the Latinx client 16 year old Ralph (case study attached).
Ralph 16 year old:

Ralph is a 16-year-old adolescent male who relocated from Puerto Rico to the United States two years ago. His mother and brother arrived with him for his intake at the local outpatient clinic counseling center. The family is Spanish speaking. Ralph is the youngest child of four children and the only one who resides with his mother and her on again, off again partner, with whom Ralph has a strained relationship. His mother was separated from his father when Ralph was 6 months of age due to a history of intimate partner violence. After his parent’s separation, he had little contact with his father and no formal visitations.
Ralph had been hospitalized for two weeks one year ago due to self-harm (cutting behavior) and suicidal ideation with a plan. He was diagnosed with depression but has had no treatment since his hospitalization. Ralph’s mother believes that he is impacted by his father’s rejection, and she sees signs that he is self-isolating. When asked, he is vague about his needs and expresses “humiliation” as a predominant emotion as it relates to repeating a grade two years ago upon entry to the United States and disrespecting his maternal uncle at a recent family event. His mother states that he is now doing well academically.
Ralph has significant relationships with his mother’s extended family who live nearby (uncle and cousins). His 20-year-old brother lives in Puerto Rico but was visiting with the family for a two-week period during the time of intake. They have a very close sibling relationship. His two other siblings are older and live in another state though he sees them a few times annually. Ralph’s mother describes the family as a strong unit.
She speculates that her son’s mental health symptoms are a symptom of rejection by his father. She thought it important for youth’s brother to offer his perspective and he shared a similar viewpoint. Specifically, Ralph is exhibiting behaviors of isolation and has increasing angry outbursts within the home. She is also concerned that he no longer plays the sport that he loves and has declined invitations to visit the uncle’s home since the recent incident of “disrespect” toward the uncle (despite the uncle’s insistence that he forgives Ralph). She does not want him to further deteriorate and require hospitalization. She also expressed suspicion that he is self-harming. Ralph simply thinks he is “humiliated” about the incident with the uncle and is vague about his overall mental well-being.
An intake and assessment must be completed for Ralph.
In your paper, address the following:
Provide a brief profile of the client’s demographic data, presenting clinical issues, reason for engaging in services, clinical setting, etc.
Select a clinical practice for working with your client and explain. Which clinical practice will be applied when working with your Latinx client (or one of the two case studies below)? Why was this practice selected?
Additionally, explain how will the clinical practice be applied in the intervention.
What aspects of the practice utilized will need to be modified/adapted to be more culturally relevant for the Latinx client? Offer some ways you will modify or adapt aspects of the practice by using our discussions and readings from throughout the last few weeks.
Why do you believe these modifications/adaptions were important to help the client, and how were they important to your engagement/treatment? Explain how these modifications would be, or have been, important and beneficial for the client and your treatment.
Finally, summarize your observations, case practice model and treatment approach, and:
Reflect on:
a) Your own positionality as related to the client
b) Institutional barriers that exist for effective treatment.

Chapter 3 should be a stand-alone article, and it should start with an introduct

Chapter 3 should be a stand-alone article, and it should start with an introduction, then literature review section, then methods section, then results section, then discussion section, and then conclusion section. For this article length chapter (Chapter 3), the methods section, which now spans pages 53-58, needs to be cut down to a page or a page and a half. Taking out the quantitative methods will help to trim this down. Assignment instructions specifically: I need Chapter 3 to be done within about 5-10 pages, based on the above notes and instructions. I need someone to read the document, then create a condensed version of the paper and input it (in “article length”) under “Chapter 3” with the following subtitles: Introduction, Literature Review, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion. Thank you!

Answer essay question, “some people believe that the education is the “ticket” out of poverty; others believe that education perpetuates social inequity. What do you think?
(Agreeing that children are sorted in school by the level of intelligence that further expands into adulthood. Higher education equals higher paying jobs, and low/no education equals to low paying jobs. Society balances out).

I DO NOT HAVE THE TEXT BOOK. SORRY. Students will select a chapter from the Sieg

I DO NOT HAVE THE TEXT BOOK. SORRY. Students will select a chapter from the Siegel and Welsh (2017) textbook and write an advocacy brief (paper) related to the topic. For example, if you select chapter 8, you will write an advocacy brief related to juveniles and gangs. If you select chapter 10, you will write an advocacy brief related to juvenile drug use and delinquency. You will use the textbook and other reliable references, such as academic journal articles and government websites, to write this paper. The following link provides an example of an advocacy (issue) brief Dr. Gallagher wrote related to racial and ethnic disparities in drug court outcomes:
https://ndcrc.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Racial_and_Ethnic_Disparities_in_Treatment_Courts.pdfLinks to an external site.
Please address these five points in your advocacy brief.
Please describe the juvenile justice topic and highlight the problem that this advocacy brief addresses.
Please describe what has been done, historically and currently, to address the problem.
Please describe the barriers to addressing the problem.
Please describe best practices/evidence-based practices in addressing the problem.
Steps 1 through 4 helped you analyze the problem. Based on your analysis, please provide an advocacy statement where you clearly list and articulate at least 5 recommendations related to what social workers can do currently and in the future to address the problem.
The advocacy brief is to be typed using Times New Roman 12 font, double-spaced with 1 inch margins. The length of the paper is 8 to 10 pages, not including a cover page and reference page. The paper should have five headings: 1) Problem; 2) Efforts to Address the Problem; 3) Barriers; 4) Best Practices; and 5) Advocacy Statement. The paper needs to be submitted in a WORD document in Canvas by the due date, please.

Your assignment for this week is to watch this T.E.D. Talk by Laura Schulz of M.I.T. called The Surprisingly Logical Minds of BabiesLinks to an external site. Wait until you see what extraordinary things toddlers do that appear deceptively simple! Define the developmental stage of toddlerhood and discuss its typical characteristics in terms of physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional domains.
How does the concept of autonomy versus shame and doubt, as proposed by Erik Erikson, manifest in the behavior of toddlers? Provide examples of how social workers can support healthy development during this stage.
Discuss the importance of attachment in toddlerhood. How does the quality of attachment formed during this stage influence future social and emotional development?
Identify and explain three common challenges or behavioral issues that toddlers may face during their developmental stage. How can social workers intervene to address these challenges effectively?Explore the role of play in toddler development. How can social workers utilize play therapy techniques to facilitate positive outcomes for toddlers experiencing social or emotional difficulties?
You will then reflect on your reaction to the video in light of what you read for the week. Your response should be at least half a page and integrate your learning from this video and the readings.
