Have they supported the topic/population in the past or tried to deny/suppress/oppress the people who are most impacted by the issue?

I just need this half paper that I wrote edited to sound more professional and put in APA format. I’ve included the sources and directions and what I’ve wrote below. Thank you
My Topic is elder abuse and the community I’ve chosen is Robeson county NC
A discussion of the attitudes your social problem looks like in the local community you selected, including
How does the community feel about the issue and population?
Have they supported the topic/population in the past or tried to deny/suppress/oppress the people who are most impacted by the issue?
How do the community attitudes impact your population and contribute to the issue?
These can be peer-reviewed sources or reputable websites.
Social Issue In The Community /Interview
Upon completion of my interview I have learned that elder abuse is something that happens quite often in the human service industry. My interviewee told me that oftentimes the elders are abused by their family members whether it is physical, verbal or financial. Some of the residents do not even speak to their family members because of the abuse. She also informed me that the elderly will abuse their caretakers as well. Elders as a whole need a voice, someone who genuinely cares for them to ultimately speak up for them. Often elders are overlooked and this in return can have an affect on their emotional and physical well being. In order to change this, younger people from the younger generations must spend more time with the elders and provide them with the attention and proper care that they desire and seek. The community doesn’t agree with this issue at all. They believe abusing the elderly is just wrong. The people that I’ve spoken to have put themselves in their the elderly shoes. They stated that they would not like it if it was them in the elderly shoes. They would not like someone abusing them in any kind of way or abusing the elders that they love.

I have attached the book please refer to it the topic is “Grief and Loss”
Develop a written agenda for the group meeting, and a second page where you have some additional resources/references other students could use if they were going to lead such a group.
If your group is not a structured group, develop a 1 or 2 page resource handout which contains information about the group, what you are trying to accomplish and references from the literature that students could refer to if they were going to lead this type of group ex. support group, growth group etc.

Research Questions and Hypothesis
This week we will continue to explore your research question. You will also determine your hypothesis.
This assignment is a component of your final project.
This assignment should be 1-2 paragraphs and cover the following.
What is your research question? Justify your study using a theoretical foundation, prior empirical research, and practical value. What questions will your proposal answer? This information should be drawn directly from your introduction and your literature review. You may use the articles you found for the literature review and can certainly add to them.
Include the following: A problem statement, a research question, a statement that identifies the type of study you are proposing (exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, etc.).

In the last few years, social policies and other laws targeting and restricting

In the last few years, social policies and other laws targeting and restricting the rights and existence of LGBTQ+ communities have been proposed and passed in more than 25 states, while other states have taken a different view and looked at ways of affirming and protecting LGBTQ+ people and communities though social policy and programs. For our discussion:
Select one social policy that has been either passed and/or implemented in the last two years that you believe has had a negative impact on the LGBTQ+ community. Briefly describe the policy and its negative impact.
Select one social policy that has been either passed and/or implemented in the last two years that you believe has had a positive impact on the LGBTQ+ community. Briefly describe the policy and why it will have a positive impact.
Share some strategies and approaches that you and other social workers and advocates can use to overcome some of the challenges they face when trying to create affirming policies and reject harmful practices and policies such as “Don’t Say Gay”, book bans, conversion therapy, criminalizing drag, and preventing trans specific health care?

The Impact and Infrastructure of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Community Centers
From the article’s introduction: “Previous literature on microaggressions has suggested that oppressed groups including lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) persons are affected by overt discrimination. However, there has been little research to explore how LGB individuals cope with microaggressions (subtle forms of discrimination), or how microaggressions affect their mental health”
