The research developed by Tusev (2017), is focused on explaining the reason why Ecuadorians are people characterized by unpunctuality. The truth is that, when talking about punctuality, it seems that the virtue of excellent workers is affected. While it is essential for a person from Europe to be late for a business meeting. For Latin Americans, being late can mean a normal aspect that can be forgiven. In Latin America, time is not considered a resource. Otherwise, only as a means to reach a goal. However, the error that exists in the terms is not to start with an important topic related to research (Tusev, 2017).

In the part of the methodology, Tusev determines that the research is quantitative, mainly by the use of the survey to determine the level of punctuality that the students of the Holy Spirit University have. The quantity of the sample, 575 randomly observed students, is also explained. The confidence level is 95% and its margin of error 10.67%. The normal distribution formula is 50%.

In the part of the results, the author determines that 31% and 10% arrive between 5 to 10 minutes late and more than 10 minutes late respectively. Which determines that the average student of the Holy Spirit University has a tendency to be late to his class. Some of the questions I will talk about will include why punctuality is essential to course and work, what affects dose tardiness have on your reputation and productivity of your team, what are some consequences of not being on time, why you should be hired if you unreliable and what is our strategy to be on time and give 100%.

The definition of punctuality is the action of being on time. Punctuality revolves around responsibility, commitment, and the seriousness with which you take. Punctuality is a necessity for success, it’s crucial in courses, in work, and in general life itself. When you’re punctual it gives offs a good impression, it shows you’re a good student and will surely get you far in life. An irresponsible student who is never on time most likely won’t be taken seriously, won’t have as many privileges and won’t get noticed like a punctual student.

In the workplace punctuality is everything. Your boss will expect 100% of you, punctuality included. To be respected, you need to be reliable, committed, hardworking. You need to be, among other things, punctual. What is to be expected of you if you’re always late? It’ll seem like you don’t care about your job, like you’re asking to get fired.

If you can be punctual despite obstacles, you implicitly acknowledge that you value other peoples’ limited time. Getting to a meeting or appointment on time shows that it’s important to you, and something for which you’ve planned. Being late all the time, on the other hand, sends the message that whatever you’re doing is simply more important than the task at hand—and that your time is more valuable than everyone else’s.

Your team members want to know that they can trust you to get the job done—and being punctual is an easy way to demonstrate that you can. It inspires a sense of trust and indicates that you’re organized, responsible, and in control of your time. flying down the hallway, showing up breathless to a meeting, then fumbling for your papers and notes gives an impression of chaos and disorder—not exactly the message you want to send. You know how stressful being late can be. But constantly rushing and scrambling to catch up not only makes you feel lousy—it also makes everyone around you anxious and uncomfortable.

A student who often comes in long after others have begun working is disrespecting both his team members and the teachers. Further, if the student who is late needs to be there for a project to begin, everyone on the team is held up. Bottlenecking means one employee’s tardiness slows work for everyone.

If the teacher doesn’t stop the tardiness, other students will grow dissatisfied. It’s not fair that they show up on time and are considerate of others on their team while late students get to forget the rules without getting punished. As a result of the growing dissatisfaction, rifts can develop among students and morale can decrease. Team spirit will disappear, and meaningful team work will become more difficult.

Part of being disciplined, is being on time. Also, in the military, time is money if we’re late, tasks might need to be cancelled and training funds can be lost. Individuals who are late can expect to be talked to immediately, counselled in writing, and possible lead to if it is chronic and affects the task. Students who are late reflects really poorly on the leaders and teachers. Being late can have serious consequences especially if an individual in affecting other team members and the task at hand resulting in corrective training for everyone.

The point of having a job is to enjoy your work and to develop skills, the point of a pay rise is because you are excelling in your line of work, and are meeting the standards of your work barrier. The point of someone hiring you is to make the company better, and give the company a good name. if you do not make these deadlines or if you do not meet the requirements then there is no point in you having that job. If you are unreliable and do not turn up, or turn up late then that is your fault. Your job is your commitment so you must meet with the standards and accept the consequences if you do not.

A strategy to being on time to course, or to a job is to set an alarm getting and getting up early and making the effort to be there and get things done. Giving 100% in doing something you choose to do makes a lot of sense to me, because if not then it’s a waste of time, and the instructors time because if you are not willing to put in time and effort there is no point in being there and having no purpose. Another strategy is to focus on the team and not yourself, in this course it is highly important that you do this in fact if you don’t there is no team. “there is no I in team”. By making it a group goal, you increase your collective focus and prevent backsliding. Also check that your team members know how to break larger projects up into smaller tasks that can be accomplished in the amount of time you’ve set aside for strategic work each day. Talk to your team about what you’re doing and why, Morgenstern recommends, and if one of your strategies isn’t working, admit it, try something different, and move on. Show that you’re committed to making a change both individually and as a group. Also communicating with your team and instructor will make things work and will bring the team together and help people that are behind or haven’t heard instructions.

In conclusion, I have learnt my lesson. It will work better if we all work together instead of getting angry with each other. Embracing the military mind set will help me get into the army or air force which is why I joined this course, or will at least give me an idea of working as a team to get the job done and relying on your team mates for support and help when in need.

Punctuality Is The Key to Success

Punctuality implies to be on time. Punctuality benefits an individual in all aspects of life. It also helps an individual to build up his/her character and creates a positive impression on society. If one is not punctual, then his/her life fills with friction in whatever he/she does. Without being punctual, an individual feels that he/she is wasting time and where and how the time flies, one can never estimate. A punctual person can manage all the household chores and other tasks at the right time.

It is evident that Punctuality is one of the key aspects to attain success in life. One who understands and values time can easily become a Punctual individual and in lieu become successful. It helps one to understand the value of time. And as we all know time is the most precious thing in our life. Time once lost, can never come back. We cannot make and get back to the lost time. It is the habit of punctuality which makes us understand and learns us to respect the value of Time. Becoming a successful person in life implies achieving ones’ goals in time with proper planning and dedication, which can again only be attained by being punctual in life. Knowing the value of time-aware an individual to utilize the time in the best way. And to utilize time in the best way is the definition of being Punctual.

For a student, punctuality is the stepping stone towards discipline and being sincere. It is utmost important for a student to be punctual to attain success during his/her school life. It is the base on which the student’s life during school and afterward shapes up. A student being punctual is considered having one of the noblest virtue. It helps them to cultivate the habit of completing their tasks in due time. Punctuality proves the great saying, “A stitch in time, saves nine” meaning completing ones’ task in due time and avoiding troublesome.

It is the virtue of punctuality which makes the students more discipline and responsibility. A sense of responsibility is attained by the virtue of punctuality. Being punctual a student can always be at the right time whether be it in school, in the lab, in class, at home, in the examination hall, at the playground, etc. The teachers and parents of other students highly appreciate the students who are punctual.

Punctuality leads to a happy mind. It is a key to happiness and having a healthy mind. Therefore, any person having this quality would always feel comfortable while doing his/her work. He/She wakes up early in the morning and always feel energetic to do more tasks. Punctuality brings positivity in our mind and heart. One is clear about his/her thoughts, plan and activities, which is also an essential element to move forward in life.

Punctuality is not being practiced only by human beings but also the nature around us. Every day, the sun rises in the morning, sets in the evening. After the day, comes the night. Each of the seasons follows their timeline. All these natural phenomena encourage us to be punctual in our life to attain a goal and have a peaceful mind. Thus, Punctuality is the essence of life. It is very important for us to develop such quality from a very young age and lead ourselves and our country to a greater high. The rate of growth of the Human Development Index is bettered in a country where everyone knows and understands the value of time by being punctual. It ultimately helps in the growth of the country. The Problem of The Lack of Punctuality and Why Students Should Be Penalized for Being Late

A man walks wearily down a small trail from the factory after a hard working week. It’s almost 7 in the evening. The sun starts going back to its home after working tirelessly in the day. The dreary, dull night begins to embrace the whole distant countryside. The man continues heading to the train stop. He takes short, slow strides step by step with a deliberate manner despite hearing the resonant siren. As he gets to the station, the train already passed the stop. He had missed the last train of the day. And his son’s birthday. No one should be late under most circumstances as it has many hefty, horrendous impacts. Therefore, in my opinion, students should be penalized for being late as it forms bad habits, affects their study result and affects other people.

The first reason for the penalisation of being late is that lateness forms bad habits. Have you ever seen a student arrived at class late without any excuses? While some students do have reasonable purpose like taking his brother or sister to school, meeting with school’s counsellor, others students always blamed the traffic, the weather and the alarm clock. However, not every student is honest with their teacher because they make up reasons in order to stay away from possible punishments. Therefore, not being on time can result in the decline in student’s integrity. Besides, not being at school on time can be attributed to poor sleeping routines. Most of my late arrivals at school are due to staying up late. Sleeping late causes severe health issues for your body. For instance, it is known that many cases of gastritis and stomach related illnesses are the result of staying up late. Furthermore, it ruins your outlook. You don’t want to show up in class with dark rings under your eyes and dingy skin tone, do you? Therefore, students should be given penalties for being late as it keeps them away from negative routines.

Secondly, students should be punished for being late because lack of punctuality affects their study result. It is clear that students who arrive late in class will find it difficult to follow the lesson. It is because many lessons go from easy to hard, from basic to advanced. As a result, when students come late to class, they will jump straight to the harder part, which could be a big struggle to many students. Consequently, these students might get discouraged and they will do badly in the future test. Additionally, teacher might bring students’ score down. To be more specific, the lack of punctuality in class can display the students’ absence of interest and engagement in class. Many teachers test this by checking your homework and your classwork. They will mark your work more rigorously, scrupulously and this can affect your average negatively. In the worst situation, teachers might think that you despise their detailed, dramatic lessons and they will not mark your test correctly. For these reason, students should be received punishments for being late because it reduces their scores.

Lastly, children should be penalised for being late as being late affects other people. Have you ever arrived at the cinema late? If the answer is yes, you probably have ruined others’ watching experience by making disturbing sound like your whispering apology or thudding footsteps . Being late in class is no exception and you can be a great source of distraction. While people have settled down to study, your late appearance in class interrupts teaching flow, breaks the quiet atmosphere, bothers your friends with annoying buzzing apology, your shuffling footstep, squeaking shoes and slamming books . Who cannot be irritating of these noises? Moreover, your lack of punctuality has an impact on your parents because many parents take their kids to school. For this reason, being late in class makes your parents wait for you and may affect their schedules. Your parents might be late for their works and this could lead to their decline in pay, their unreliable appeal in their colleagues’ mind. In brief, apart from affecting yourself, being late can also has impact on other people.

To conclude, giving students penalties for being late is a good idea. This is because the lack of punctuality in student paves the way for bad habits, brings down your studying result and bothers others. There are many strict rules upon student and penalising for being late should be one of them. The school’s goal is to create firm, beneficial routines for students in order to make them a better person. So does penalising for lack of punctuality. Students will definitely reward from it as it has many positive effects.
