Compare and Contrast two historical figures’ perspectives within the same area

Compare and Contrast two historical figures’ perspectives within the same area of psychology. Identify if their perspectives have shaped modern psychology. You should access your textbook to assist with knowledge regarding this assignment.
You should provide a history of each historical figure
Be sure to compare and contrast their work, and examine how they meet at the crossroads in their respective fields.
Identify if these two figures were aware of each other’s work (ex. did they study together, mentorship, etc), one figure potentially saw a gap in research, or how one figure thought about a theory thus adding to the body of knowledge.
Discuss ethical or multicultural considerations of each figure’s work.
Conclude the expression of their work’s contribution to modern psychology. (For example, “without this figure, psychology would have not been viewed in this manner…”)

Adolescents spend a decreased amount of time with parents and an increased amount of time with their peers as they move towards independence.  What are some of the consequences of this shift from reliance on adults to reliance on peers? Are there advantages? Dangers?

In our reading this week, we learned about the processes of sensation and perception. Although they are two different processes, one often has an impact on the other. Some individuals are not aware of how much they rely on vision or hearing in their everyday lives, versus others who have vision or hearing impairments who may rely more heavily on their other senses and perceive the world differently than others.
You will need to complete the assignment to fully address the instruction components and rubric using the “How We Perceive the World Around Us” worksheetLinks to an external site..
Requirements
You will need to cite at least the textbook for definitions and to explain the processes of vision and hearing.
References page (may use outside scholarly sources plus the textbook and/or the weekly lesson) in APA format.

The Development of Macro Practice and the Profession
This week’s readings provided an opportunity to reflect on the development of macro social work practice and to consider how even with the desire to help others, social work, as a profession, has unwittingly perpetuated oppressive practices. For your discussion, consider how macro social work practice has both effected positive change in organizations, communities, and policy, and how it may have perpetuated discrimination and oppression. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Share your thoughts and feelings regarding the idea that while social work, as a profession, has been at the forefront of effecting social, economic, and environmental change on behalf of marginalized and oppressed populations, the profession has also perpetuated discrimination and oppression. How does this knowledge impact you as a social worker?
Share a journal article, video, podcast, or other resource that speaks to the social, economic, and environmental justice achievements of the social work profession. Why did you select this resource? What are two or three key points?

POTENTIAL SOLUTIONS
For those identified problems with many causes and effects, there are potentially many solutions, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. The solutions may impact just one of the effects or may impact several effects. The goal this week is to generate at least two solutions based on the critical review of the problem. Once you have generated some solution ideas, select two potential solutions and identify the advantages and disadvantages of each solution. What positive social change might result from each solution? Going beyond solutions identified in the research literature, if you could oversee the implementation of your solutions, what ideas do you have that could result in a successful solution to the problem? You will share these with your peers; pay particular attention to their responses about which solution might work best in alleviating the problem/issue you selected.

To prepare:
Review the Learning Resource document “Problem Solution Preparation.”
Review the Learning Resources related to positive social change.
Review the causes and effects that you described in Week 7.
Think about some potential solutions to your identified problem and the advantages and challenges of each.
Think about the social change that could result from the potential solutions.
From the Learning Resources “Social Change Series” web resource, choose and review one or more of the social change webinars that are of relevance and interest to you. Think about your Capstone problem and how you might promote positive social change.
BY DAY 4
Post a description of two potential solutions to the problem, based on the literature that you have researched for the Capstone Project, and explain the advantages and challenges in implementation of each solution. Be sure to support your solutions with scholarly literature.
Also, explain the potential for positive social change for each proposed solution, and discuss how you might promote positive social change.
If you could direct the implementation of each solution, what other ideas do you have that could lead to a successful resolution of the problem?
Be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references to the Learning Resources and identify current relevant literature to support your work.

The purpose of this lab exercise is to introduce you to constructing a measurement instrument. For this exercise, you will construct and evaluate an attitude questionnaire. Follow the guidelines on survey writing in your textbook. Read through this lab and then start by first posting your survey topic information in Part 1 in the Discussion area for the week. See the instructions below and consult your textbook on how to write survey items.

Create your questionnaire using google forms or survey monkey. Note that survey monkey has a limit of 10 items for free surveys so you may want to use google forms or other platforms.

Include a consent form included in the survey (instructions below).
Include 1 item to assess the Independent Variable (see Discussion for the week).
Include 8-10 items assessing the Dependent Variable (see Discussion for the week and instructions below)

Please use the given  Format of the Questionnaire .Instructions/Informed Consent:In addition to the questionnaire items, you will have to develop a set of instructions that generally explain how the questionnaire is set up and how to complete the specific types of items included in the questionnaire.Keep in mind that this is not a ‘real’ study and is only for classroom practice.  However, you will still need to develop an appropriate informed consent form (see Figure 6-2 in the text for an example of an informed consent form, or use the attached form used at Keiser University and adapt it for this class:
IRB Online Consent 2022.docx
Online surveys typically contain the consent immediately before the survey (for example on how to do this see:  https://help.surveymonkey.com/en/surveymonkey/create/consent-statements-privacy-notices/ ) The informed consent form must contain the following:

A statement that the survey is being conducted as a requirement for your Research Methods class.
A statement about the topic of your survey and the requirements for participation, including a statement indicating that participation is voluntary and that the participant is free to withdraw at any time.
A statement that all data will be held in confidence and that the data will be used only within the Research Methods class for educational purposes.
An acknowledgment that the participant understands the nature and purpose of the study, that he/she is at least 18 years old, and that the participant freely consents to participate.

Submit the link to your survey, including the informed consent form, as an invitation to this discussion area by EOD Thursday (Friday is acceptable if needed). Responses should indicate when you have completed the survey.NOTE.  I want to stress to you that this is an exercise only so that you learn what is entailed in survey writing and understand that survey writing is complex and does not occur in one week – and the skills on how to do this are not learned in one week (typically you would take an entire course just on survey writing).  It is important for you to understand this is an exercise and is unrelated to any future work you may do.
