·      Overview of problem of practice within its setting: Begin the body of your paper with an overview of the problem of practice you are investigating from the standpoint of systems thinking. Define the problem within the setting, and the interactions and relationships within that setting. Discuss the impact the problem of practice is having on an educational need in this setting and the importance of addressing it. What are the implications of not addressing it from the perspective of the different aspects of that setting?
·      Diversity related to (name of problem of practice): Define diversity as it relates to the setting and problem of practice you are discussing. Reflect on how your underlying assumptions have changed or been deepened based on the lenses of diversity, ethical behavior, and civil discourse you’ve used to analyze your problem of practice.
Remember, be sure you critically evaluate the primary sources as you incorporate them into your paper, not just report on them. Provide reasons for why these are best suited to helping explain your situation and problem of practice.

Step 1. Introduce
Write an introduction to establish a context for the response.
Step 2. Respond
Respond to each of the two questions in well-developed paragraphs.
After reviewing the results of your culture snapshot, what opportunity area have you selected to address in your Application assignment and what is your rationale for selecting this opportunity area over your other options?
How can you use the strengths identified in the culture snapshot to address the opportunity area?

Step 3. Conduct
Conduct an internet or library search to locate three articles related to your selected opportunity area that reflect best practices.
Tutorials for conducting research are available Digital Learning Connections Resources and Tips
Step 4. Gather and Summarize
Gather and summarize information on the three best practices you will use in an action plan addressing the opportunity area. Each summary should be a well-developed paragraph. (Remember that, depending on the area you have selected, your action plan may be a professional development plan, an outline for a curriculum unit, a proposal for a family activity, etc.)
Step 5. Conclude
Write a concluding paragraph to summarize your key learning and reflect on the potential impact of the best practices on student success.
Your paper should be 3 to 5 pages in length, not including title and references pages. Use APA format.
Step 6. Submit
Submit your final paper.
Part Two
In your Module 3 Application, you will use the data you gathered in the culture snapshot and the best practices identified in your research to continue to build an action plan that addresses the opportunity area that will help you more effectively address the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
Depending on the opportunity you have selected, your action plan may include a professional development plan, an outline for a curriculum unit, a proposal for a family activity, etc. For example, if you noted in your snapshot that you are not as actively involved with the cultural community as you would like to be, you might devise a plan in which you develop a partnership with a business or organization that is mutually beneficial to the community and to your culturally and linguistically diverse students. If you noted in your snapshot that your classroom library is not culturally and linguistically inclusive, you might devise a plan in which you catalogue current titles and suggest new titles that could make your library more inclusive of the students you serve.
Step 1. Download and Introduce
Download the Action Plan Template and fill in your identification information. Write a 1-paragraph introduction to establish the context for your action plan.
Step 2. Build
Build your action plan which addresses the opportunity area identified in the Module 1 culture snapshot and incorporates best practices identified in your Module 2 research. Delete instructions in brackets and insert titles for the three best practices you selected. Modify the template as needed to create an authentic document you would use in professional practice.
Step 3. Conclude
Write a concluding paragraph to summarize the potential impact of the action plan.
Step 4. Submit
Submit your final action plan. Include a title page and reference page in APA format.

In this assignment, you will organize the strategies/activities you have generat

In this assignment, you will organize the strategies/activities you have generated so far in Modules 1 and 2 into a sequential, day-by-day lesson plan appropriate for English learners. As a part of the lesson plan, you will include a strategy/activity for each of the following: sheltered instruction, review, and assessment.
Step 1
Write an introductory paragraph to provide a context for this assignment. Include the grade level, content areas 1 and 2, and theme for your lesson plan.
Step 2
Review the strategy/activity ideas you generated in Modules 1-2. You do not have to incorporate all these activities into your 1-week lesson plan. Use the ones that are most appropriate to your lesson plan/grade level/content areas.
Step 3
Create and complete a template for the lesson plan in your document. You may re-create the table yourself, or use the template provided in the Template Tables document. Add cells for additional strategies as necessary.

Step 4
Use the free online tool QuizletLinks to an external site. to turn one of your ideas into an online activity. Include a link to your Quizlet activity where appropriate. Include a description and rationale for your activity.
NOTE: While using Quizlet is recommended, you may use choose a different online tool if it would be more appropriate for your activity.
Step 5
Incorporate one strategy/activity for each of the following into the lesson plan. These are in addition to the activity in Step 4.
Sheltered instruction
Review
Assessment
Step 6
Reflect on your work in the lesson plan. Write a well-developed concluding paragraph that addresses an analysis of the lesson plan and how well the information and strategies support English learners.
Step 7
Submit your final document. It should include your introduction, the lesson plan, link to the Quizlet activity (or other online activity), and your reflective conclusion. Use APA format for the title page, in-text citations, and reference
