Your AB should have a minimum of five sources, including one book. The annotated bibliography should include the following for each key source:
a full citation
a concise summary of the text
a statement on the utility of the text for your research.
Critical analysis of each key text is encouraged.  Note: Bibliographies differ from works cited insofar as they refer to texts which are relevant or necessary to the research topic or question but may not necessarily be used directly in the final research project as a citation.  Accordingly, bibliographies usually contain more references than works cited strictly defined (which only include those sources which end up in the final paper).  At a minimum, your AB must include the required number of sources for the final paper (at least five sources outside of required readings, including one book), but a strong AB will have more than this.

Paper question: Considering the arguments of the philosopher you choose, use you

Paper question:
Considering the arguments of the philosopher you choose, use you

Paper question:
Considering the arguments of the philosopher you choose, use your paper to address this question: Who should have power and how should they use it to solve or deal with your chosen topic? Why should they have power (that is, what definition of justice are you using)? My chosen topic is: who should have power over the types and quality of food people can access in the US.
You will use a total of four philosophers in this paper. You will make your argument using Plato, Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, or Mill. Then, you will use three of the other philosophers to critique/criticize your argument by presenting the key critique/criticism each would make of your argument, and you will defend your argument against each of those critiques.
Guidelines:
Paper must consist of 6 paragraphs: paragraph one is your thesis, paragraph two will be your argument (addressing both justice and power), paragraphs three through five will be your oppositions’ best critiques of your argument and your response (defense) to each of them, paragraph 6 will be your conclusion.
You must underline the thesis sentence in the thesis paragraph and you must underline the topic sentence in each paragraph.
You must use and cite quotations from each of the readings/philosophers covered in the debate. The textbook is: Political Philosophy: The Essential Texts (I have attached the textbook pages in case you do not have them). Failure to use and cite quotations from the textbook reading in the second and all subsequent paragraphs, other than the conclusion paragraph, will result in a paper score of 0 or 1 point. You must have quotations that support claims about justice and power in the second paragraph, and quotations that support each side in the debate/critique paragraphs. That means you must include at least 2 quotations in each paragraph after the thesis paragraph.
Students who in any way incorporate the work of another will receive a grade of 0 on the paper and will be cited for academic dishonesty. This includes undocumented use of the Internet or the work of another student (past or present)
For the philosophical aspects of your paper, you should use only texts assigned for this class. Do not use outside philosophy sources in your paper. You do not need them to succeed on your papers.

Social Movements are only as important as the person leading them. The person(s)

Social Movements are only as important as the person leading them. The person(s) leading a social movement must have charisma and be able to captivate an audience. Political scientists and historians are taught to analyze body language, especially during debates and speeches.
For this assignment, you will watch Dr Martin Luther King’s I Have a Dream speech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP4iY1TtS3s
and a speech by Alicia Garza of the Black Lives Matter movement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cniRNj6m0-A
and answer questions listed below. Pay special attention to the following aspects in the two speeches.
Importance of body language while delivering the speech.
Gestures, cadence and delivery style.
Answer the following:
Provide a summary of the two speeches.
Compare Dr. King’s leadership, charisma, power and passion to capture his audience to Alicia Garza’s speech. What are the similarities, if any? What are the differences, if any?
How does the location of the speeches support their messaging? Dr. King’s speech was held in a church and at the Lincoln Memorial, whereas today we have social networking and more avenues to relay messages. Does messaging make a difference?
Describe how the audience in Dr. King’s speeches relate to the Alicia Garza’s audience. Do you see a similarity or differences in the speeches and in the audience?

Attached is the full list of instruction and guidelines but this is a brief sect

Attached is the full list of instruction and guidelines but this is a brief section of them explaining the type of essay: In this essay, you do NOT need to follow some formula about essay writing that you learned in an English composition course. In particular, you do not need some introduction explaining the purpose of the essay (which your reader obviously already knows) or some fancy rhetoric about the importance of voting or such – generally speaking, this is wasted space. Instead, you can just start with “Issue 1: (whatever the issue is)” and begin your exploration of the two parties’ general approaches on these issues. Rinse and repeat on the other two issues. The discussion of each issue should include the reasoning behind each side’s position. For example, what are the general lines of reasoning behind the Democratic and Republican approaches to the issue of reproductive rights? You are also encouraged to include what politicians from each party say about the effects of the other side’s policy stances. For example, surely Democrats would point to evidence showing why they think the abortion bans in various states harm women, and surely Republicans would point to evidence showing what they perceive to be benefits of such policies. YOU ARE IN NO WAY ASKED TO EXPLAIN YOUR OWN VIEW ON THE ISSUES YOU INTRODUCE: What we want is a discussion that elucidates and explains the positions that are commonplace within each party. The more you learn, the more you will develop your own views and opinions for yourself; it is not your responsibility to report your own opinions to your professor, and not your professor’s job to judge your opinions!
