2. Does Japan’s constitution allow it to have a military? What do the US-Japan security
(anpo) treaties require from Japan? Are the treaties consistent with the constitution? (The treaties don’t align with the constitution. The treaties require to maintain a Japanese force.)
3. Park Chung Hee rebuilt South Korea’s economy. What, if any, were the downsides of his
approach?(What about human rights?)
4. What is the relationship between knowledge and politics for Mao? (The political sector isn’t separate from any other sector. Look at the “On Practice” essay)
5. What were some of the causes of the 1968 Shinjuku riots? (Why did young people feel alienated?)
6. According to Mao, what’s the correct way to approach contradictions?(Do you start with the fundamental contradicitons or the local contradictions?)
10. According to Kim Il Sung, how many Koreas were there? In his mind, what was the best

Instructions:
In a 4 to 6 page paper, double spaced, 12 font, Times New Roman, address the 3 prompts below. Please answer the
prompts in order. This assignment is intended to be an overview of ALL the material and concepts encountered this
semester. Your task is to place the various political ideas in conversation with one another. Remember, mere summary
will not be sufficient to receive a top score. You are being asked to analytically dissect the many arguments and views we
have studied and explain why the authors hold these views. Additionally, your ability to construct, explain, and defend
your own views is being reviewed as well.
Grading Components:
 Clarity / Grammar
 Appropriate and sufficient citation
 Sufficient incorporation of course material
 Soundness and comprehensiveness of student’s views
Questions:
1. Discuss the various conceptions of justice articulated this semester. What are their strengths (advantages)? What
are their weaknesses? These can be theoretical or practical. Explain whether or not a conception (or conceptions
of justice) is / are important for a political society.
2. Explain the significance of political legitimacy. What are some features associated with political legitimacy the
average person would expect to observe? Are there any ways (methods or metrics) to determine to what degree
/ extent a society is politically legitimate? Is it necessary that a political legitimate society is also fully just?
3. What is the relationship between change and political legitimacy? If we determine political change is needed in
a society, what is the best method to bring about that change? Be sure to address the distinction between reform
and revolution. Are there any important practical considerations? Are there any important moral consideration?
Minimum 20 Citations from 10 different authors. All sources will be provided in the files and links.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly shifting our relationship to and use of technology. Previously assumed human-centric jobs like content writing, advertising, art, photography, and even creative writing are now being undertaken, assisted, and/or transformed by a wide array of AI-enabled tools. Alternatively entertaining, enlightening, alarming, and possibly inaccurate or even racist, AI poses numerous challenges and opportunities in the workplace and in the practice and understanding of global politics. This task, and this task only, allows and requires the use of an AI tool like ChatGPT.
1. Generate two one-page summaries of the past 5 years of the Israel/Palestine conflict using ChatGPT or similar bots. One summary will specify it is from an Israeli perspective and the other from the Palestinian. Be sure to say what tool you used and the exact wording of the prompt you input, along with the time and date of input to generate the results. (THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN GENERATED AND ATTACHED BELOW)
2. Using a traditional essay format, with academic journals and texts, verify any facts, assess how the perspectives influenced the facts and analyses included in the AI generated content.
3. Generate your own summaries (up to 2 pages for each perspective)
4. Write a conclusion focused on how you think AI will influence the way we think about and engage with Global Politics. Be sure to use the examples from this assignment to support and illustrate your point of view. Also bring in additional source material from academic journals or other suitable sites.
It will be assessed on
– Paper has clearly identified the AI tool used and the prompts entered to generate the Israeli and Palestinian perspectives of the past 5 years of the conflict.
– The prompt is clear and allows the student to have the AI tool generate the correct analysis and perspective.
– Paper offers a detailed, specific, and nuanced account of how the AI perspectives shifted the information, language, and presentation of the relevant events and issues.
– Paper engages with relevant, scholarly and academically rigorous source material to assess AI’s impact in the understanding of and interaction with global political issues. The analysis examines the Israel Palestine content generated for this assignment and then broadens that example to other applications.
-Sources are consistently and accurately cited throughout the text using footnotes or endnotes. Student has chosen a clear citation format and included a bibliography.

I need a book report done on the book “Congress from the Inside” by Sherrod Brown. This report must not be simply a summary of the contents of a book; rather it must be a critical appraisal of a book – of what its author is attempting to say or to do. It should have some information about the author, some reference to the date of the first publication of the book, A short, but clear, summary of what the book is about, an appraisal of whether the author achieves his or her purposes and how well, and An evaluation of the style of the book
