This analytical paper requires you to choose any two “alternative” theories — among them, Marx (by way of Lynch and others), Dependency Theory, (Dos Santos), Strange, Globalization (by way of Rosenau), and, if you want to look ahead, Constructivism (by way of Wendt), Feminism Theory, and Green Theory.
Explicate and analyze each theory in thorough detail.
Then, explain to what extent each theory’s contributions and critiques differ from those offered by realist and liberal theorists.
You should also critically evaluate each theory. Ask yourself: does it represent an “improvement” on what we find in the older theories (realism and liberalism), or not? If yes, why, and if not, why not?
Be sure that you’re clear on what makes your theories “alternative” per se.

Ethics in politics is usually present where four factors are present. What are they? Without these characteristics, we cannot truly have an ethical or moral presence within that political structure. Why is this?

Bureaucracy is typically described as a negative concept. Not surprisingly, many politicians and academics have attempted to reform bureaucracy (see module 2).
Paul Verkuil argues (article also attached in Module 4’s readings in the Content tab) that we actually need more bureaucracy, not less. Do you agree or disagree with Professor Verkuil’s argument? State your stance early and clearly, then support your stance with examples, evidence, or logical derivations.
