Write me a one page, single spaced paper on the book, Plato, The Apology

Please write me a one page, single spaced paper on the book, Plato, The Apology (all) answering one of the three questions with no outside references but this book. These are some more guide lines that should be followed.
a) selecting and directly quoting two specific passages from the text
b) explaining and interpreting what you regard as the correct meaning of each passage
c) considering their implications with respect to the text as a whole
d) most importantly, explaining in detail why those two passages constitute important evidence
to answer the specific question you chose to answer

Researcher Fred Greenstein has put forth a number of traits that he has determined to be important for a successful presidency.Choose two of those traits and apply them to President Joe Biden.

Researcher Fred Greenstein has put forth a number of traits that he has determined to be important for a successful presidency.Choose two of those traits and apply them to President Joe Biden.

Researcher Fred Greenstein has put forth a number of traits that he has determined to be important for a successful presidency. Your task is to choose two of those traits and apply them to President Joe Biden. In short, to what extent has President Biden displayed (or failed to display) those traits during his presidency. In doing so, you should make certain to clearly define that trait and discuss why that trait (or lack thereof) has been so important. Be sure to include at least one specific example that supports your arguments for each trait.
Please note that this assignment is asking you to provide an objective evaluation, so you must make certain to view President Biden from the lens of an unbiased observer. Even if you disagree with the policy stances our president has taken, you can still acknowledge where he has succeeded, and even if you agree with his views, you can acknowledge his failings.
The reading is posted in the “Topic 7: Executive Branch” folder. Also, you should make sure to properly cite any outside sources, which you must use when you develop a discussion of any specific examples. Failure to cite sources will lead to a reduction in points for the assignment.

Watch a news program or listen to a podcast that is at least 30 minutes long onc

Watch a news program or listen to a podcast that is at least 30 minutes long once a week, this can be any network or an online source as long as it is a mainstream news source (so no InfoWars or any of that silliness). PLEASE AVOID PUNDITRY SHOWS (SUCH AS RACHEL MADDOW/TUCKER CARLSON/ANDERSON COOPER/ETC). 2) Write a one-page paper with a header that includes the name of the program, the dates/times watched, and the channel/source. 3) The bulk of the one-page paper should connect at least one of the course readings to at least one topic that was featured in the news over the two week period. If you miss an entry, you will lose 20 points.

The final project will help you synthesize what we’ve learned in this course and demonstrate your knowledge of the course content. For the final project, you will position yourself as a classroom teacher and design a survey for your emergent bilingual students to learn about their backgrounds, experiences, interests, needs, etc. In a group of two or three, you will design 10 questions to include in the survey. Each question will be followed by a rationale paragraph explaining (1) what information is collected from the question, (2) why you believe the information is important for you to know as a teacher, and (3) how you will use the information to facilitate learning and teaching. You will cite at least one course reading in each rationale paragraph. The questions could be open-ended questions or close-ended questions, and each rationale paragraph should be about 250 words.
In the concluding section, you will explain how you plan to conduct the survey. In particular, you will respond to the following questions:
To Whom will you give this survey? What are their grade level and English proficiency level(s)?
When do you plan to have the students complete the survey and why? (e.g., the first day of school so that you can collect information as soon as possible? wait until the students feel more comfortable?)
How do you want the students to fill out the survey (on their own, in pairs/groups, with parents…) and why?
What accommodations/support will you provide if the students do not understand the questions or do not know how to respond to the questions in writing?
The concluding section should be about 250 words. The deadline for submission is 3/11 (Mon.) by 5:00 PM. No late submission will be accepted. Please check the Canvas for more information about this assignment.
Common Q&A
1. Can I use videos that we watched in class to justify my rationale for the question design?
Yes. “course readings” include the media resources that we use in class. However, no slides should be cited. Slides are my synthesis of the course readings and you should cite the original source instead of my interpretation.
2. Do I need to include a separate list of questions as if we are giving out the survey to the students?
No. Each question followed by the rationale plus the administration paragraph will work.
part 2
Answer the below questions (contextualized in lecture slide). Answer all questions in your own words, only! I’m interested in your initial responses to the questions vs. you researching them and providing an answer. Verbatim responses from lecture slides will not get marks.
1. Explain the difference between equity and equality
2. What does an equitable society look like?
3. How do you decide which organizations you would pick to receive funding? Explain the criteria you would use to evaluate the applications and make your decision.
4. Do you think the funds should go to the most pressing needs in the community or go to initiatives that will (at a smaller level) improve the lives of everyone in the community? Equally allocated? Why or why not?
5. Do you divert the train to run over one person, or allow it to continue to run over 5 persons?
6. Do you 1) adopt the proposal; 2) adopt the proposal under certain conditions; or 3) reject the proposal? Why or not? Attempt to use the ethical theories to justify your position. (Introduce Plain Packaging on All Tobacco Products)
7. Do you 1) adopt the proposal; 2) adopt the proposal under certain conditions; or 3) reject the proposal? Why or not? Attempt to use the ethical theories to justify your position. (Mandate COVID-19 vaccines for all healthcare workers interacting with patients)
8. Do you 1) adopt the proposal; 2) adopt the proposal under certain conditions; or 3) reject the proposal? Why or not? Attempt to use the ethical theories to justify your position. (Ban Alcohol Advertisements)
9. Do you 1) adopt the proposal; 2) adopt the proposal under certain conditions; or 3) reject the proposal? Why or not? Attempt to use the ethical theories to justify your position. (Phase Out Sale of Tobacco to Persons Born After 2010)
10. Do you 1) adopt the proposal; 2) adopt the proposal under certain conditions; or 3) reject the proposal? Why or not? Attempt to use the ethical theories to justify your position. (Tax Sugary Drinks)

Review the 2 included articles and videos from opposite ends of the news media spectrum on joe bidens state of the union speech, keep in minde the goal is to see how opposing parts of the news spectrum treat the same topic. From the left side please view https://www.foxnews.com/media/msnbcs-chris-hayes-h… . From the right side please view https://www.foxnews.com/media/sean-hannity-bidens-… . Compare the similarities and contrast the differences between them.
Comparing –
1) What content do they have in common? What sources do they both use?
2) What biases in language and treatment do they share? Do both sides make the same assumptions?
3) Do they use similar bombastic, extreme, and over-the-top language? (maybe about the other side?)
4) What audience are they both trying to reach with their message?
5) Do they have a common “outside” group? (look for “us vs. them” language)
Contrasting –
1) What content do they share that the other doesn’t? What sources does one use, but not the other?
2) What biases in language and treatment does one use, but not the other? Does one side make assumptions?
3) What bombastic, extreme, and over-the-top language does only one side use? Even in a similar language, do they use the same terms but to mean different things?
4) Are they targeting a specific demographic of people with their message?
5) Does one side demonize a segment of the population? (look for demeaning, dehumanizing, or condescending language for this one)
Conclusion: How does media from either end of the spectrum work differently and similarly?

Deliverable Length: 2-3 pages
Answer two questions:
1. In the Introduction Anderson notes three types of stigma in Goffman’s formulation (p. 254). Identify and discuss each of these types, paying particular attention to how stigma may negatively impact the person’s social identity. Which of the three types of stigma do you think is the most difficult for the possessor to overcome?
2. Goffman (p. 257) outlines a dual perspective on stigmatization in social interaction. Discuss this difference-between stigma as known about, evident, and discredited versus stigma as not immediately apparent but descreditable in the process of social interaction. These alternatives demonstrate that stigma(tization) is a constant process of definition and not necessarily a final product or judgment.
3. In recent years the conceptualization of deviance has been influenced by cultural and literary processes of definition and meaning. As Lane argues,
4. Bakhtin’s concept of “the carnival of the grotesque” links the stigma of body deviance (e.g., physical imperfections or behaviors which test the boundaries of beauty or of disability) to resistance by those groups who are negatively labeled. Furthermore, the resistance of body stigmatization celebrates the positive qualities of being physically different. Lane calls this resistance “grotesque realism.” From the table on p. 298, discuss the relationship between stigma and carnival with regard to identity and language.

The political system is ruled by the 100 richest persons in society who serve in the system’s “senate” (legislature). These “billionaires” are REQUIRED to serve in government

Read the following description of a political system. Maximum possible: 10 points. The political system is ruled by the 100 richest persons in society who serve in the system’s “senate” (legislature). These “billionaires” are REQUIRED to serve in government. The people elect other “representatives” who can only veto major policies or legislation. The government is very popular largely owing to superior services. The government is constantly concerned with the concentration of power in a few people’s hands. The top executive leadership is placed in a person (from among the billionaires in the senate) who is elected by the Senate for life and must surrender his financial holdings to other family members and disassociate himself from his business. A Cabinet consists of the Prime Minister and six billionaire officials. The Cabinet is accountable to the Senate. There is compulsory rotation of all ministerial and committee positions. The Senate is composed of all the billionaires. There are Senate committees that oversee parts of government and a Judicial committee (Grand Jury) with sweeping legal power. A ceremonial scaffold is constructed just outside the executive building for hanging the chief executive if he – in the view of the Senate — wields too much power or tries to. Senators are enlisted based upon heredity and wealth (both required) and just one political party functions more like a general movement than a political party. All protests are banned, but citizens have mechanisms for submitting grievances and exposing abuses without becoming vulnerable. Anonymity is protected. A State Committee on Security (10 Senators) has broad and imposing judicial power. Clergy are appointed by the government and are held to all general laws. Officials and other rich people are constantly scrutinized in their public lives, but are permitted to socialize in anonymity by wearing special costumes and masks to hide their identities. This is broadly accepted as healthy. Trade or commerce is the driving force of the system. It is also the primary rationale for all political decisions made in the system. There is a progressive tax system, but if the wealthy wish to “donate” their money to the government and designate its use by government, such donations are 100% deductible from their tax obligation. In essence, this system enables all citizens to designate how their taxes are used by the government if they wish to do so. After thinking carefully and thoroughly, write a three page essay (double or 1.5 spaced) and place it in the submission folder of D2L. Follow the outline below for your essay. Space is limited so write with substance and efficiency. Be sure to say exactly what you mean to say. Proofread!
