Overview Your portfolio website should provide visitors with a good idea of who you are as a graphic designer. The Home page of your portfolio site should help you engage employers or clients who are looking to hire a graphic designer with your goals, values, and vision. The About Me page of your portfolio site is where you can introduce yourself and explain who you are as a designer to potential employers, collaborators, and clients. To write the content for these pages, you can begin by identifying keywords that describe important information about your work approach, motivations, ideals, or goals that you want to emphasize in your portfolio site. For example, your keywords may be client-focused to talk about the way you work, life-long learner to state your commitment to growth, or design to motivate to note the impact your design work can achieve. You can use these keywords to draft a personal mission statement for your Home page. You can then add some more background information about yourself, such as your skills, qualifications, and experience, to create the body copy for the About Me page. This will help visitors understand more about you and your value as a designer. In this activity, you will draft the written content you would like to include on the Home and About Me pages of your portfolio site. You will iterate on this content and include it on your site for the project in Module Seven. Directions Write the content you want to include on the Home and About Me pages of your portfolio site.
