Injury Mitigation Project Content
Using all of the information gathered in your Discussion paper, previous research, and information on corrective exercise in class/your book, you are going to create a team based injury mitigation program. Many times, athletes in a given sport/position have similar compensations and injury risk, so we are able to create a group injury mitigation plan to do what we can to lessen the chances of those injuries actually occurring.
So, what do we include in this injury mitigation plan? Think pre-warm up activities. Athletes need to focus on range of motion, strength, and endurance they tend to lack, as well as balance/proprioception. You can always include more than this, but this is a good base for most programs. Your program should attack the main issues that tend to cause the injury. Think: what strength or range of motion is typically lacking in someone who gets repetitive ankle sprains?
You are to create 20-30 minute program that can be done by an entire position group or team (meaning this plan should not have hands-on components like joint mobilizations, unless they are done by the patient themselves). In this plan, include:
Range of motion exercises
Strength/endurance exercises
Balance/proprioception exercises
Parameters for all exercises
Any equipment needed to complete the exercises
There is no requirement for the number of exercises, but it should attack the main compensations/issues associated with your chosen injury and sport. Be creative! You don’t need multiple “days”, just one solid plan they can use before they warm up for a practice or game.
Once you create your plan, discuss your rationale. There always needs to be a reason for your choice! This should include evidence, which may or may not be some you found in the initial portion of this assignment.
Lastly, put your discussion paper and this paper into one document. It should flow well, giving a background on your sport, the movement analysis and common injuries, and finishing with the plan you created and why you created it. It is expected that you have a solid draft of your final paper at this stage. You will be provided with feedback to implement into your final submission! A grading rubric can be found below.

Part I
For the first part, revise the essay you submitted for the second exam. R

Part I
For the first part, revise the essay you submitted for the second exam. Recall that this essay required you to apply Ackerman’s view from his article “Why Doctors Should Intervene” to the case of the physician, Dr. Emanuel, refusing medical screening and treatment for certain serious illnesses after turning seventy-five. Your revisions should address the comments received. (As a rough guide, the revised version should be around three pages, double-spaced.)
Part II
For the second part, I want you to expand on your revised essay from Part I. One of the issues discussed in the course is the challenge of allocating medical resources when there is scarcity. Suppose that a community adopted Dr. Emanuel’s position as a community-wide policy. That is, to address scarcity concerns regarding medical resources, persons over seventy-five in the community will not be screened or treated for certain medical conditions. Would such a policy be acceptable according to the guidelines adopted by White et al. in their article “Who Should Receive Life Support During a Public Health Emergency”?
In answering the above question, make sure to (a) explain the guidelines advocated by White et al. and (b) provide an argument for why you think this policy would or would not be acceptable according to these guidelines. Make sure to support your argument. (As a rough guide, your answer to this question should be between 2-3 pages, double-spaced. You do not need to re-explain Dr. Emanuel’s position, as this should already be included in your answer to Part I. You can jump right into assessing whether adopting Dr. Emanuel’s position (as a community-wide policy) would be acceptable according to the guidelines of White et al.)

This is a systematic review research paper. I chose the topic Gut Microbiota and Nephrolithiasis. I am not sure exactly what to focus on in regards to this but mostly on how Gut microbiota can cause Nephrolithiasis. I am sure you can get more in debth in regards to this topic depending on what you read in the articles. This paper must include an abstract in the beginning which consists of Introduction, Hypothesis, Methods, Results and Conclusion. After that you start with the Introduction, Research Question, Hypothesis, Methods. In the methods section, There should be a title for Topic selection where I need to discuss what made me choose this topic, how did i generate my research question and hypothesis and to be quite honest, I really dont know. I figured it was very interesting since many people do get kidney stones and also not a lot of research has been done on it. In addition to this section, there should be a title for search strategies (what databases used, the keywords you used),  Inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria (how did you select studies and why). Please note that methods are always in third person and in past tense. In the end of this section there must be a FLOW DIAGRAM. Overall there must be 15 articles, however 4 of those articles must be papers who are doing PRIMARY STUDIES (Direct research or meta analysis) on your subject!! These 4 articles are where you compare and contrast in the results section & also there must be a table description of these 4 articles in the end as well! The table should include Author, Study Type, Aim of the article and the results. Lastly is the DISCUSSION section where you only interpret the results of the studies you found (meaning those 4 main articles). In the end of this is the reference page. Please make sure anything you read in the articles must always be paraphrased and cited (literally everything). Those other articles you find will be put in those other categories in the paper (like in the introduction etc.,). The articles you find must ONLY BE FROM PUBMED!!! Please do not use CHAT GPT or AI because there is a system that will check if you used this. I will upload a document of exactly what is needed in this paper in detail. Please FOLLOW THIS DOCUMENT because it explains everything you need to know!! I will also upload other examples of research papers that students have done who recieved a 100% so you can make sure the paper is written exactly in that format. I wrote something before on this paper, you can take a look at it if you find it helpful and use those 5 articles otherwise you can ignore it but I will upload it for you as well.
