This assignment will ask you to write a police report that describes an incident based on an event caught on CCTV.
Writing is an important factor in your study of criminal justice and criminology. More importantly, is having the skills needed to ensure you can write in a succinct, accurate, and unambiguous manner. This includes writing in 'plain language' (or plain English), which, as of recently, is being encouraged by parliament and the courts. The use of plain language will make your writing more accessible and easier to understand for citizens. When using plain language, a police report will be factual, accurate, clear, concise, and complete.
