Summary: For this analysis, you will theory-craft a monument
Specifics:
1    Introduction
1    Introduce your monument. Explain what you think the purpose of monuments are, and how your monument will achieve that purpose.
2    Choose a person you think is worthy of having a monument. Spend a brief paragraph explaining who they are, their accomplishments, what you think makes them worthy of a monument.
3    Describe the location of the monument. This can be as concrete or abstract as you want. “The White House Rose Garden,” “a prominent crossroads with lots of pedestrian traffic” and Graham Center are all adequate responses, but gives reasons why you chose the place that you did. The placement you choose should, in some way, help the monument to accomplish what you see as its purpose.
4    Describe your monument. If you are artistic, or even if you’re not. You may also choose to sketch it out and include the sketch with your description. Explain the form, materials, the position and dynamics of the statue, facial expressions, everything about the monument that you feel is important for creating and conveying its meaning and accomplishing its purpose.
5    Finish with a conclusion that summarizes your project and its importance. Is this something necessary for the community? Is it important for some other reason? Explain.
Form:
1    All of this should be composed into a 5-6-page essay.
2    File format: doc, .docx or .pd

According to J. Rachels, what is the core of Ethics?
Pick a case where you can accept the practice and use Moral Relativism as a tool to support your argument.
Pick a case where you cannot accept the practice and use Moral Absolutism to support your argument.
Is Morality Relative?
Moral/ethical relativism: Morality can only be judged with respect to particular situations, within the standards of particular belief systems and socio-historical contexts.
Moral anti-realism: Morality cannot be proved with objective moral facts
Cultural relativism is the principle— one’s beliefs and activities should be interpreted in terms of one’s culture.
According to Cultural relativism—It would not be correct to judge one culture’s way of living as better than another as they are all just different and every standard is bound to the particular culture.
VS
Moral Absolutism: The view that there are universal, eternal moral truths for all societies.
Moral Realism: There are true moral statements which report objective moral facts
J. Rachel’s : Human Welfare– Act in such a way that you promote the interest of the person affected by your action, everyone’s interest is given equal weight.
