An important component of being a successful counselor is to actively reflect on

An important component of being a successful counselor is to actively reflect on one’s professional and personal life. To assist in this journey, each week you will complete a Reflective Journal, that is a private journaling experience that only the instructor will be able to view. Each week you will be given a prompt to respond to, reflective journaling will assist you in practicing these reflective self-care skills.
The journal entries should be considered “free-writing,” and therefore are not required to follow APA formatting or be cited material from journals or your text. The expectation is that you take time to personally and professionally reflect and provide meaningful thoughts that will help you to explore who you are as a helping professional.
For the journal entry for this week, respond to the following journal:
How do you feel about “socializing” with previous or current clients, whether it is in person or on social media? Do you feel that this violates boundaries?

describe your selected topic area, including the problem or background issues that you would like to address in your Final Paper. To do this, you will need to visit the University of Arizona Global Campus
Library and locate at least eight peer-reviewed sources that pertain to your selected topic area. Your sources must present actual research studies that correspond to the problem or background of your selected topic area.
Summarize the components, attributes, and/or various segments of the topic area you have selected.
For example:
What is the research problem or issue?
Who or what is affected by this problem or issue?
What are some specific examples of research studies, evaluations, reports, literature reviews, etc. that address it?
What are the findings of these sources, and what are their implications on the health and human services field?
Then, create a detailed outline of your Final Paper. Your outline should include at least headings and sub-headings, with at least a one- to two-sentence description for each. Indicate within each section which of your sources will apply to that section.

Reflect on a decision you made in your life that was difficult for you. What mad

Reflect on a decision you made in your life that was difficult for you. What made it difficult? Was there a conflict between two or more of your values/priorities? If so, identify which values and priorities were in conflict. What strategies did you use to make your choice? Did you seek others’ opinions, collect more information, pray or meditate, etc.? What was helpful or not helpful for you in making your choice. How do you think and feel about the decision you made now that you are reflecting on it? Would you handle it differently or do you like the way you handled it? What did you learn about making challenging decisions from this experience?
