These may not be older than six months and must be from legitimate news sources (Wikipedia is not a legitimate source, nor is History.com). In the article, the author must be either discussing a historical topic, and/or using it to support an opinion about some current event. Either way, the historical topic must be one that we have already discussed in class AFTER the first test.
You must find an article that is focused on a history event or person that we have discussed in class. It can be discussing the topic as a pure history lesson, or it can be discussing it to make a point about a current event, but it must be FOCUSED on the history topic. Do not send an article in which YOU are the one making a connection to a topic we discussed in class, the author must be doing so.
Further, keep in mind that the easiest way to do this is to do a Google NEWS search for an event or person that you found interesting. USE THE NEWS FILTER when doing your search so that it returns only NEWS stories.
I KINDLY ATTATCHED WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON. PLEASE MAKE SURE ITS SOME SIMILAR TO THIS.

Roosevelt called his program to reform the nation’s economy during the Great

Roosevelt called his program to reform the nation’s economy during the Great Depression the New Deal. Not only did it bring about major reforms, and introduce tougher regulation of big business, it also set a precedent for greatly expanded federal government involvement in the economy and society. Some of the programs that were initiated had a lasting impact while others were struck down by the Supreme Court. Just as the depression impacted people differently, so did the reforms that were passed during the New Deal.
analyze and discuss how women, blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans, were impacted by the Depression and New Deal. As part of your analysis and discussion, you must address the long-term legacies of the New Deal and major historical assessments that have been made of it, and if you agree or disagree with these assessments.

Discussion Board Statement: These discussions are meant for you to jot down your thoughts and analyses of the works of the week. In art, everything is evaluated by your perspective. There is no right or wrong answer to be graded against; instead, you will be graded on how you defend your analysis of the art pieces and the use of the resources (when appropriate). In the first unit of this class, you completed a Discussion Board assignment that asked you to assess the role of technology in art during the Renaissance. Let us revisit that same question now, considering the second industrial revolution and the developments in art that coincide with it, including Impressionism and Modernism.
Think about how you perceive the relationship between art and technology as it exists today.
Without researching the topic, describe your current perception of this relationship based on your personal appraisal of the work itself.
There is no right or wrong answer. Use specific examples of art from this week’s reading to support your ideas.

The term “renaissance” means rebirth and is usually  associated with cultural revival. While the most famous is the Italian  Renaissance, primarily of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, there  were both earlier ones (the Northumbrian and Carolingian Renaissances)  and later (the Northern Renaissance). The fuel for these cultural  explosions was frequently the interactions of diverse cultures. In the  English Northumbrian Renaissance, for instance, Christian, Irish,  Anglo-Saxon, and Roman cultures cross-pollinated to produce a true  flowering of artistic and intellectual life in the 700s CE. With such  interchange in mind, answer the following prompt(s).
How  did the rediscovery of the works of ancient Greece and Rome influence  European philosophy, art, and scientific inquiry during the Renaissance  era? Where were many of these works found and why? What long term  effects did it have on cultural and intellectual life in Europe?
