Understanding the Global Phenomenon

Concern as it does now. No matter how much we know about it, we as a society seem to ignore the future disasters that global warming will bring. We all have an obligation to reduce the consequences of this issue as much as we can because it is a global problem which exactly means that everyone on this planet is involved. This phenomenon has a powerful impact on almost everything in our lives: our climate, our health, and our environment as well.

Origins and Natural Causes

Global warming is a natural phenomenon that includes an increase in the average Earth’s temperature due to energy being trapped within the Earth like a greenhouse. This has been a phenomenon throughout the history of the world, but it really became an issue over the past few hundred years because of an anthropogenic increase in greenhouse gasses.

This phenomenon has been occurring naturally as a result of the rotation of the Sun, which changes the intensity of radiation hitting the Earth. Natural processes, such as volcano products, can create a huge amount of Sulphur dioxide and other gasses, which affects global warming as well. Once these gasses become released and free, they help at trapping more solar radiation within the Earth.

Human Contributions and Resulting Impacts

The reason why this is such an issue nowadays and should be taken seriously is that humans have major contributions to greenhouse gasses. Modern technology and new lifestyles have resulted in human activities that produce a lot of greenhouse gasses, such as deforestation, the combustion of fossil fuels, and industrial action. This phenomenon and greenhouse gasses are very problematic because they raise the Earth’s temperature, but what effect will global warming have on our planet in the near future? Polar ice caps are likely to melt, which will cause terrible flooding all over the world; there will also be an increase in natural disasters that are going to be very harmful to everyone living on this planet.

The greatest danger for human society represents the melting of polar ice caps. As Earth’s temperature increases, these large masses of ice and snow melt and influence the sea level to rise all over the world. In the same way, glaciers will melt and create problems on land as well. According to scientists and their research on global warming, if all that snow and ice melted today, it would result in a raised sea level of over 200 feet worldwide and would instantly harm every low-lying area, such as Holland and other islands over the world. It is very sad that most of the countries that will be affected directly are usually the ones that contribute the least or not at all to global warming and natural disasters in general.

It is not only that humans will suffer when this great disaster occurs. Even though humans are mostly involved and are the main cause of this particular problem, biodiversity will suffer all over the world as well. Many species will die off as they won’t be able to adapt to this change, and they simply won’t be able to survive in a new environment. Natural disasters such as hurricanes and tsunamis will occur much more often; just hurricane damage alone will result in billions of dollars worldwide needing to be spent.

Some places will definitely experience more rain and some less. Warmer weather will cause a greater amount of evaporation and leaking from lakes, rivers, and oceans. In northern regions of the United States, an increase in the temperature and rain could actually extend the growing season of crops. This would automatically mean more money for farmers in that specific region. It could also hurt some farmers. Certain areas will actually get less rain, which will cause more droughts and have a negative influence. Warm and wet weather very often brings many tropical storms. This weather would actually lead to tropical storms appearing with much greater frequency. Forests and plant life would migrate naturally, but scientists say that global warming would cause them to migrate at a much faster rate.

As a society, there are many ways we can practically use to prevent global warming and reduce its effects as much as we can. However, it will be difficult for many people to change their daily routines and ways of living in order to help our planet and have an influence on this great issue so we, as humans, can live longer on this planet Earth as well. In the beginning, we could stop burning so many fossil fuels. There are also many other small choices that we can change about ourselves that would really help reduce the risk or at least slow down global warming; for example, we could drive hybrid cars that reduce gasoline consumption, or we could use public transportation instead of everyone using a car every single day which contributes greatly to global warming and adds up on this issue.

Recycling could also be adopted over time, and in that way, it would be less carbon dioxide produced. All these solutions would help a lot if people actually cared enough for the planet we live on, other species living here with us, or at least about themselves. However, the horrible truth is that people only care about living today and living however they want, not thinking about the consequences their habits can have on everything around them and on them alone too.

Political Perspective on Global Warming

On the other hand, how can we even be concerned about people not being aware of something huge as the problem of global warming when even our president is clearly not aware, or he doesn’t want to be because obviously, he has other issues to be concerned about that seem to be more important to him, like dealing with people that come on this land searching for a better life, or simply ‘immigrants’ how he would call it? Trump himself has been an aggressive critic of climate and climate change for years. He certainly does not believe in global warming and that it is actually happening or that scientists even have proof that it is not just some theory that Trump believes but rather a fact.

More interesting, not only that our president, Donald Trump, doesn’t believe in global warming itself, and in that case, he cannot even do anything to raise awareness among people. He even makes jokes about it very often. By constantly making jokes and having fun while he talks about issues like this, he shows that he is not taking problems that occur in the world and his country seriously at all.

He once, trying to be funny but instead simply showing who he is and why he shouldn’t lead any country once again, asked: “Where the hell is global warming? It’s freezing outside.” He also admitted that he believes in clean air and immaculate air; however, he does not believe in climate change at all.

When it comes to election time in general, the US always brings this topic of global warming into the discussion. Although it is discussed by the candidates, after the politician is elected, it looks like the issue disappears by itself. The candidate promises he will do this, and he will do that, but in the end, nothing seems to be done about it.

In conclusion, there are obviously many, many causes and effects of global warming and greenhouse gases. Sadly, it is more likely that the problems won’t be solved that easily or just disappear unless we take action right now, at this very moment, in order to reduce the risks this issue can bring and prevent all the problems that can be a product of this and all the disasters that would eventually occur.

In the past 139years, the warming trend that we are having now has never experienced by earth before (NASA, 2020). In fact, the World Meteorological Organisation has stated that since 1980s, each decade has been warmer than the previous one. Though the scientific evidence seems devastating in favour of global warming, there are those, for very few reasons, who considers global warming as a hoax or not empirically proved. This is upsetting, as the future of our planet is at risk, and the last thing we should do in this critical time is debate whether or not our world is being demolished. In order to enlighten those who thinks global warming is not currently happening, tis presentation will discuss evidence that how global warming is existent due to sea levels rising, global temperatures rising and coral bleaching.

Firstly let us discuss about rising temperature. One of the most obvious and immediate effects of global warming is the increasing in temperature around the world. According to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the temperature has increased at an average rate of 0.07degree Celsius per decade since 1880 and it has increased twice as great since 1981 as temperature has increased to 0.20 degree Celsius per decade. This clearly demonstrates that global warming is causing the temperature to rise at an unprecedented rate. If the current trend of temperature rising continues, it would be impossible for human beings and living creatures to survive in Earth after 80 decades. According to National Center for Environmental Information, the current earth temperature is 13.86 degree Celsius. However, without any action, the earth temperature would be 43.72 degree Celsius within next 80 decade. As human can only survive up to 40 degree Celsius, it can extinct the human population in the earth for forever.

Secondly, Let us talk about the unusual rising of sea level around the globe. The main reason why sea level is rising is because of the warming of sea water. The water expands when it get warm. It is also because of the melting of land-based ice, such as glaciers and ice sheets. According to the World Counts, a whopping 750 billion tons of ice is melting every year as a result of temperature rising. Sea level rising posing a threat towards human extinction. According to NASA, the rate of sea level rising has risen from 0.1 inch per year in 1990s to 0.13 inches per year today. It is also scientifically clarified that within next 80 decades without action, the sea level will rise up to 104 inches (2.6m). As average human height is 1.7metre, it would extinct the humans lives in the earth for forever. With the current trend, it would also be no surprise if the world is going to be underwater within next 80 decade.

Last but not least effect of global warming is in marine ecosystem known as ocean acidification. As levels of Carbon dioxide increase, the oceans absorb some of that gas, which increases the acidity of the water leading to coral bleaching at a rapid rate. According to Carbon Brief, bleaching events have become five times more frequent, with the average reef being affected once every 25 to 30 years in the 1980s and once every six years in 2016. To examine how coral bleaching is impacting the Great Barrier Reef, the scientists measured calcification and net ecosystem productivity (NEC) and associated the data to similar studies conducted before the 2015–2016. The researchers quantified variations in seawater chemistry around the reef, including the total alkalinity and dissolved inorganic carbon. These data revealed that the reef was taking up 44% less calcium carbonate when comparing to the pre bleaching studies. The results indicated a definite decrease in NEC as an outcome of the bleaching (Eos). Therefore, the impact of global warming in Marine ecosystem is clearly evident. According to Nancy Knowlton (Marine Biologist), if the current trend of coral bleaching continues, over 90 percent or more of the living coral will be gone from the central and southern parts of the Great Barrier Reef in just 10 years. Therefore, global warming is not a strange, local phenomenon: It is global catastrophe that needs to be addressed.

In conclusion, global warming is real. It is indeed one of the major challenge that earth is facing today and would be facing in future if action not taken urgently for mitigation. If the current trends of global warming continues, the consequences we and our future generation would be facing are dreadful. Many people take global warming as a light issue but they don’t realise that in 10 years’ time without action, we would lose almost 90% of corals from Great Barrier Reef. Humans and living creatures in the earth are also at risk of extinction as by next 80 decade, earth temperature is going to peak at 43.72 degree Celsius if current trend of temperature rising continues. Sadly, Sea level is also expected to rise by 2.6 metres within next 800 years. It is evident that we still have a lot of years before human lives ends in the earth, it is in fact not that long. After our generation, there is only 3 generation of lives left before the earth ends. It would only escalate the effects if we do not take action now. This is why global warming is simply the biggest issue there is. It would only makes sense as a modern generation to step up and let our voice be heard by the world rather than arguing if it is fake or real.

This paper analyses the effects of global warming on the health of human beings. Causes of global warming

The main factors that have been attributed to the resulting global warming are the green house gas effects, differences in the solar and also volcanoes. Most scientists have blamed the resulting global warming on the human activities which in turn causes various changes in the atmospheric gases.

Human interference especially the release of green house gases causes a build up of gases which lead to changes in temperatures. The green house effect itself has been as a result of the absorption of heat or radiation by the atmospheric gases which retain heat and this then causes changes in the earth’s temperature. The green house gases have been estimated to cause an effect of around 33 degrees in the atmosphere.

The greenhouse gases normally comprise of carbon dioxide, ozone, methane and water vapor. All this components of the greenhouse gases cause different effects on the atmospheric temperatures. The human activities in the earth’s surface are especially blamed for the increase in the green house effects. The industrial activities which took root in the 20th century have caused major changes on the atmospheric gases. “Pollutants that are released from the industrial activities will have a major effect on the atmospheric gases,” (Spencer, 2003).

Other human activities include deforestation which involves cutting down of trees at very high rates. This causes an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere thus increasing the effects of the green house effect. Burning of fossil fuels is also another factor that is considered a cause of global warming. Burning of fossil fuels adds on to the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The warming of the atmosphere causes effects on the clouding patterns.

Radiation from the earth is usually reflected back to the earth by the clouds and this causes further warming. On the other hand, warming results to a lot of water evaporation thus increasing the water vapor in the atmosphere thus greener house effect. “Changes in climate as a result of these atmospheric changes cause effects on the human activities and also their health,” (Joshua, 1997). One of the major effects is changes on the agricultural production. Global warming will cause changes in the patterns of rainfall and this affects the agricultural yields. Global warming has resulted to a lot of economic costs to most continents and its future mainly depends on the trend of the human activities that result to this changes.

Effects of global warming on Human health

Global warming has been blamed for the spread of various diseases. The effects that result from global warming are said to create atmospheric conditions that favor the spread of very infectious diseases and thus risking the lives of very many individuals. Global warming has been blamed for the spread of the following infectious diseases.

Dengue fever

This is a disease which is spread by the mosquitoes. There has been no vaccination that has been developed to curb the spread of this fever. “The spread of the disease is said to increase with rises in temperatures that is global warming. This disease has been a threat in the United States and doctors have declared it as a very deadly disease,” (David, 2005). In some regions, it is very challenging to diagnose the disease and also to treat it and this is what makes the disease spread even more and claim very many lives. Spread of this disease is usually dependent upon the atmospheric temperatures.

History has indicated that very low temperatures have resulted to the death of the larvae and also adult mosquitoes that spread the fever. High temperatures however favor their survival and thus increase the chances of spreading the fever to the humans. The mosquitoes are said to have spread the disease in most parts of the United States especially in Texas and Chicago. The disease has been cited as very dangerous by the medical fraternity in the U.S.

Cholera

“Global warming results to higher sea level and this has raised the spread of infectious water born disease,” (Anne, 2006). One of the major water borne disease that results from global warming includes cholera. The bacteria that cause this water borne disease thrive better in very warm conditions and thus global warming acts as a reservoir for the vectors of such a disease. The disease has resulted to major deaths especially in the African continent.

The children within the population have been the worst affected by the spread of the water borne diseases. This has in turn increased the mortality rates during the extreme periods of global warming. Mosquitos are known to breed in stagnant water, and they are also known to carry diseases like West Nile Virus and Zika. Lack of precipitation and increase in temperature brought on by drought can turn these regions into breeding grounds for pests and diseases, which can affect crops, wildlife, and even humans.

Flooding is also a common event caused by global warming. As mentioned before, the evaporation precipitation cycle has become unbalanced due to global warming. There’s more available water in the atmosphere due to the increase in evaporation. This leads to heavy rainfall becoming more common, and stronger storms becoming more frequent. This means that hurricanes are also more frequent. In the Atlantic basin, an 80 percent increase in the frequency of category 4 and 5 hurricanes (the most destructive) is expected over the next 80 years. This sudden influx in rainfall paired with frequent hurricanes practically guarantees to flood. These floods will have long-standing consequences both environmentally and economically. Regions will be destroyed and become inhabitable, organisms will be killed, and the coping costs will be huge. According to the National Flood Insurance Program, an average of $2.9 billion was spent per year between 2007 – 2017 in order to cover flood-related losses. Unless the climate returns to normal, this cycle of land being destroyed and then paying billions of dollars to try and cover the losses will never end, and it will cripple our economy and environment for years to come.

Global warming is not only affecting our environment but also our economy. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) concludes that hundreds of millions of people will be affected by climate change. With many regions being challenged by the changing climate, people are being forced to migrate. There will be a new economic sector built around the issues of migration, including managing migration, transportation, construction, and so on. Habitable countries will have to prepare for an influx of immigrants, and unhabitable regions will become impoverished due to the lack of immigration and productivity. According to research done between 1960 and 2000 for 116 countries by the World Economic Forum, they found that “increasing temperatures are associated with lower emigration and urbanization rates in very poor countries. In contrast, in middle-income countries, they are associated with positive changes in emigration and urbanization rates.” Global warming may have a positive effect on the immigration and tourism industries in the countries where people find refuge. However, it seems to negatively affect the regions that these people are migrating from. Middle-income countries will end up increasing their population and boosting their economy and income per person. Low-income countries will decrease in population, productivity, and income per person. The rich will become richer and the poor will become poorer. These effects could contribute to the divergence of income between poor and middle-income countries

Temperature increases brought on by global warming are shown to affect our productivity. If temperatures rise by 4.5? C by 2090, 9,300 more people will die in American cities due to the rising heat. The annual losses associated with extreme temperature-related deaths alone are projected to be $140 billion. Heat exposure will lead to a decrease in labor across all industries, which will have a direct effect on the economy from both a local and global perspective. By 2090, two billion hours of labor will be lost per year if temperatures remain so extreme. According to a 2014 Rhodium Group study, productivity in the Southeast and Southern Great Plains regions is expected to decline by 3 percent, and some counties of Texas and Florida could lose more than 6 percent of labor hours each year by 2100. The largest climate change-related economic losses in the U.S. will be from lost labor productivity.

It can be concluded that global warming has a significant impact on today’s world from both an economic and environmental perspective. From an environmental perspective, global warming has caused damage to wildlife all across the world. Plants and animals are being forced to accommodate to the ever-changing climate; species migrating to lands they had never occupied before, having offspring at different times of the year than usual, and trying to survive without the protection that the stable weather conditions would provide them with, like how Snowshoe hares are with the snow, or rather the lack thereof. Global warming is also causing damage to human-populated regions by bringing on things such as droughts and floods. From an economic perspective, global warming has affected migration patterns and productivity within countries. An increase in temperature will lead to an influx of immigrants and tourists migrating to habitable, middle-income countries that can withstand these changes. This will ultimately lead to an increase in population, and income per person, and will guarantee a boost in the economy. In this case, global warming positively affects today’s world. However, an increase in temperature will lead to negative effects in lower-income countries. People will migrate from these regions that have become unlivable due to the effects of global warming, leaving them with a decrease in population, productivity, and income per person. These regions are left to plunge into poverty, Wealthier countries who are prepared to withstand more will benefit from the consequences of global warming, while poorer countries won’t be as fortunate. The rising temperatures are shown to have an effect on human productivity as well. Heat exposure will lead to a decrease in labor across all industries, two billion hours of labor are expected to be lost by 2900. The largest climate change-related economic losses in the U.S. will be from lost labor productivity. On that note, I believe that my research question, “How does global warming affect today’s world?”, can be answered with this: global warming is shown to bring both negative and positive consequences to the world, however, most of the consequences seem to negatively affect our planet and the things that live on it. Further research must be done to identify and study the serious, long-term effects that global warming will have on the world.

Introduction to the Inquiry on Global Warming

I am inquiring about global warming. I chose this topic because I was interested in the things that cause it, and how we can all make a change to decrease it. I have often heard that global warming is something that we can’t do anything about and that it is getting worse every second. But to be honest, I don’t think that it is entirely true. We cannot blame everyone here. Some countries like Sweden and Denmark, are making electric-powered buses and mostly using renewable energy, and quite a few more countries are trying their best to make a change. But is that enough? That is the main question. Is Sweden, (for example) as one enough to stop global warming?

I would love to find out more about the impact that global warming is having on societies, but also individuals. Does the knowledge that people have about global warming change their perspective about other things that happen to them daily? When is it that people are going to realize what is actually going on, and will it be too late when they do so?

I think that it is important to find out and learn about this, because maybe during this whole process, we are going to make people realize what is happening, and persuade them into taking action to make a change. In my opinion, the topic is very related to the Transdisciplinary Theme “Sharing the Planet” because it is about the daily things that we humans do, and about our society, that in a few cases, just like some individuals, does not care or think about the environment and our futures.

Our central idea is: “By looking at global warming, people can understand the impact it has on society, and how we can take action for a change”.

Our first line of inquiry is:

“How Global Warming Works”

I think it is important to learn about this because it will teach us the whole process of global warming and how it is being created.

Our second line of inquiry is:

“How Society is Affected by Global Warming”

I believe that it is important to learn and inquire into this topic because we will learn how all the different people and societies around the world are being affected by global warming.

“How People Take Action to Solve Global Warming”.

I think the order that the lines of inquiry are ordered perfectly because after we have learned how people are being affected by global warming, we can research what they then do to solve it. It is important to learn about this because this is the part where we will find out what ways people are using to decrease global warming, and if they even are.

Understanding the Mechanism of Global Warming

As I mentioned in the introduction, my first line of inquiry is “How Global Warming Works”.

Global warming is a process of the Earth’s temperature rising, due to radiation from sunlight that is being trapped in the earth by greenhouse gases such as methane and carbon dioxide. The process starts with the greenhouse gases allowing the sunlight to access the Earth; letting the necessary amount in. This is all very good because it gives us the right amount of light and heat for all of us. The downside to this is that apart from letting the sunlight in, the greenhouse gases keep the infrared light, (the light that the earth “rejects”) and while some of it goes back into space, most of it is stored right above the earth, and the heat is accumulated which makes the ice melt, and destroys polar bears, seals and penguins’ home, and slowly sinking some countries like Holland.

Even though we can see that the climate is warming up, we have to be aware that temperature does not rise every single year. There will still be very cold and snowy seasons, but these events will become less likely to happen. Life here on Earth is pretty much all about the energy, light, and heat coming from the sun. Approximately half the light reaching our atmosphere goes through our air and clouds before it reaches the surface, where it is absorbed. The radiation then pushes it up, and that is when its name changes to the infrared light that the greenhouse gases take in.

There are quite a few greenhouse gases, starting with carbon dioxide (CO2). Carbon dioxide is a smaller, but still very important part of the atmosphere. It is released during processes that most of the time are natural, for example, breathing, cow and sheep gas, and volcanic eruptions. Of course, there can still be cases where it is the human’s fault, such as deforestation, burning fossil fuels, and factories. In fact, humans have made the level of carbon dioxide go up more than a third since the industrial revolution began.

Methane is another greenhouse gas that is very well known. It is a gas made by both natural sources and human activities, such as agriculture, and rice cultivation. On a normal molecule scale, methane is way more active as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.

Another one that is quite known is nitrous oxide. It is another strong greenhouse gas. It is caused by soil cultivation and the use of commercial and organic fuel combustion, and of course, other reasons.

Here on Earth, human activities are changing the greenhouses that used to be so natural. Over the last century, fossil fuels such as oil and coal have made the concentration of carbon dioxide level go up a lot. This all happens because the burning process combines carbon and oxygen in the air to make carbon dioxide. The open space of land for agriculture, industry and other “human” activities has increased the concentration of greenhouse gases.

Global warming is not something very easy to completely get rid of, but in conclusion, if everyone has the knowledge of how it works, maybe we can make a change as a society. But is everyone ready to make that big of a change in their life just to help make a change for the future?

The Impact of Global Warming on Societies

As stated in the introduction, my second line of inquiry is “How Society is Affected by Global Warming”.

There are many different societies around the world, and very few are trying their best to decrease global warming. Not many are either aware of its growth of it and that global warming has already started to affect societies all over, and it will continue doing so until global warming is the highest possible, or when it will be the lowest it can get.

The world’s natural ecosystems have been feeling the changes of all human activities. Everything is affected by the temperature and degree variation and are now very likely to get more extreme as global warming continues. Dutch societies, especially Holland, Netherlands have already experienced the impact of global warming, making them realize how the health and lives of millions of people have started being harmed by climate change.

After having realized the rising of the water level, other societies all across the world have started recognizing the troubles of global warming and how it is increasing, making the world a more “dangerous place”. In some way forcing societies to do certain things to improve our environment. In fact, after being in London, scientists said that the effect of global warming on human health is now as severe as being considered “the major threat of the 21st century”. Of course, there are always societies in countries such as Saudi Arabia that will not “dare” to make a difference.

After researching and inquiring into the issues of global warming, scientists have started coming up with small solutions that will be used to try to decrease global warming. The project was involving 24 academic organizations from around the world. The plan was to release a report that would track progress on global warming every year, giving scientist knowledge of the increase of global warming.

Issues are doubling and are becoming more and more of a risk. Most of these are due to global warming since many animal plants and human species are sensitive to the climate, and the way it constantly changes. Many types of research have found that other risks are also taking over non-native species, both cautious and accidental, welcoming more and more unwanted bacteria and diseases, also making agriculture in some countries have a higher chance of failing.

However, many societies in the U.K. and other countries have realized and are now trying to forward this message to the rest of the inhabitants, making the chance of this unwanted development easier in some way to detect.

In conclusion, I find that different societies around the world are being affected by global warming in different ways, and are also handling it differently. Some are trying to decrease it by making our environment a better place, some are trying to make everyone aware of the changes in climate, and some just don’t dare to make a change or difference. Societies are very strong, but even stronger if they all come together as one to help our environment, and stop the factors causing the biggest part of global warming.

Global Initiatives to Combat Global Warming

As mentioned in the introduction, my third line of inquiry is “How we take action to solve global warming”.

Millions of people are now starting protests to raise awareness of global warming and helping to take action by doing things that will change people’s perspectives about climate change. Children of all possible ages are now making speeches, having many talks, and even writing to their mayors and governments, asking them to help make a difference. As soon as people like these noticed a problem, no matter what, they took action. It didn’t matter whether the issue was about food, climate, or anything else, they all in some way became activists, since they wanted to make a change. A change in society. These are the people that we need in the world. The ones that dare to make a difference.

Of course, there are many different ways that people are being affected by global warming and different strategies that people use to help decrease it. People all over the world have been using techniques that they think are helping, but not all are actually very eco-friendly as you think they might be. For example when people buy paper bags at the grocery store. The truth is that it takes almost four times as much energy to create a paper bag as it does to create a plastic bag. The easiest and most sustainable way to go shopping is to take fabric bags, and even though plastic is bad for the environment and in a way increases global warming, if you happen to be in a need of bags, you can take a plastic one, as long as you reuse it, and don’t throw it away.

Humans have been around for now over 66 million years, and these last generations were the ones affecting global warming and our environment the most, and not always, but most of the time for the worst. People all over have started realizing the many issues that global warming causes, and therefore have started coming up with many solutions that various amount of us now use. For instance:

• Choose the right light. — People are now looking around their houses to see what kind of light bulbs they have, and if it is a less sustainable kind, they switch to the spiral-shaped ones, which help reduce energy, but still shine almost as brightly as a normal light bulb.
• Grow your own. — People are starting to take seeds from any fruit, vegetable, or berry. By cleaning them properly, some of the seeds can be able to reproduce again, growing more of the same foo,d which means not as much factory and land power is being wasted.
• Travel larger. — Many people around the world have either sold their car or never bought one in the first place so that they could take more public transport to waste less finite resources that are used to build a car.
• Make your own. — After having noticed how many chemicals there are in many of our daily life things, people have started making their own of most supplies. For example Soap, detergent, fabric bags, notebooks, etc.
• Make a composter — This may be hard for most people living in a big city, but if you live on the or have a big backyard, all you need to make a compost bin is a big or medium size container, add grass cuttings, fallen leaves, and other damp things. Having a compost bin helps a lot because instead of using chemicals to feed your plants, you can just add some of your compost to give them a boost.
• Say no to bottled water — Bottled water is not tested for dirt and filth to the same high standards as tap water. Also, a plastic bottle can take over a thousand years to decay and becomes a murder to millions of marine animals.
• Reuse, reduce, repair, recycle. — It is very good if you do the three R’s, but what is the point of them if you are just going to recycle something broken? People have started taking action and repairing the things that can be repaired, meaning that the goal is to reduce the level of waste.

In conclusion, If everyone does something to help our environment, the percentage of global warming can decrease, and make our futures, our children’s futures, their children’s futures, and Everyone’s futures better.

Conclusion: A Personal Reflection on Global Warming

Global warming is a horrible thing. Most average kids of my age or under see monsters, scary clowns, or anything else that frightens them in their nightmares, but I just see global warming killing all of us. I am very aware that it was humans that started global warming, but I believe we can also decrease it, and hopefully end it. As stated in a famous slam poem/rap called ‘sorry’, It doesn’t matter if we fight for gay rights, racism, feminism, poverty, or any other equality. Because if we don’t all work together to save our environment, we will be equally extinct.

The Role of Humans in Causing Global Warming

Introduction

Global warming is a huge subject intended for political figures, researchers, and academics as well for many years, but especially in the past couple of years.
