The objective of this assignment is for you to demonstrate an ability to communi

The objective of this assignment is for you to demonstrate an ability to communicate details about the Hayward Fault.
While you are absolutely allowed to write a standard academic report
Content : Among other things that you can explore are : how the fault moves and its tectonic context, how we can see evidence of the fault on the surface, the size of earthquakes it is capable of producing, some potential consequences of such an event, how the fault interacts with or influences structures on campus, …
The field trip stops provide ample opportunity to discuss those and explain that the stops are manifestations or consequences of the fault being nearby.
If submitting a standard report : The limit is 800 words. (The max limit is 850, anything beyond that won’t be taken into account.)
Grading: You will be graded dominantly on factual accuracy, not the quality of your art. We are looking for knowledge and critical comprehension.
Note: keep the words between 700-750. No more than that and no less than that. Cite the sources that you use. Also, DON’T USE CHAT GPT OR PLAGIARIZE THE CONTENT. Don’t use coursehero or any other homework site as well. I already have answers from them. I need original work. It will be run through turn itin and must be original.

In this assignment you will use ArcGIS Online and several of the logistics tools

In this assignment you will use ArcGIS Online and several of the logistics tools to examine routing and allocation options for a set of Schnucks stores and warehouse sites in the St. Louis region. Use the files linked below to add layers to your map for these features:
StoresDownload Stores
WarehouseDownload Warehouse
CandidatesDownload CandidatesUse the Plan Routes tool to conduct a routing analysis for the existing Schnucks warehouse location that delivers merchandise to all Schnucks stores in the St. Louis area. See how long it takes for a single truck at that location to service all the stores if drops take 45 minutes. For this analysis do not activate the “Limit max time per vehicle” option.
Create additional ‘trucks’ at the warehouse by increasing the “Max number of vehicles to route” parameter. Experiment with the number of trucks to determine how many are required to deliver goods to all of the stores in a single 8-hour day.
Use the Choose Best Facilities – Maximize Coverage with Capacity tool to examine the impact of adding 2 more warehouse sites to take some of the demand from the existing warehouse. When you set this analysis up, make sure you set the “Number of candidates to choose” to 2 and set the facility capacity to 1/3 of the total site count so that the work load will be split evenly. Which of the candidates are chosen?
Now you will use the results from the Choose Best Facility analysis to generate routes for each warehouse location. For this tool to perform properly, you will need to filter the Assigned Facilities and the Allocated Demand Locations to only show a single warehouse and its assigned stops.
Use the Facility ID field for this and set it to the same ID number in each layer prior to running the Plan Routes tool for that warehouse.
Repeat the filter and Plan Routes workflow for each of the Assigned Facilities generating a new set of results layers each time. Make sure your results are named so that you can keep track of what you are doing!
Deliverables
Create and save a map showing the initial warehouse, stores, and the route you generate to visit all of the stores using a single truck from the warehouse.
Create (and save) a second map of routes showing your final solution for the Schnucks warehouse delivery analysis. Make sure the map only includes your final routes layer, the warehouse and store locations, and a basemap. Remove any extraneous layers.
Write up a description of the analysis as if you were writing a report for a client. Explain how the analysis was performed in general terms so a non-GIS person would understand and address these questions specifically:How long would it take to deliver goods to all of the stores with a single truck from the original warehouse?
How many trucks are required to visit all stores in the same 8-hour day if the average off-loading time is 45 minutes per store?
How does adding in 2 more locations from the Candidates layer reduce demand at the existing warehouse?
Are there any issues with this solution that would warrant further analysis?
Compile a report (2-3 pages maximum; PDF or Word format) containing both of the maps and your write up. Submit to Canvas by the due date.

In the Atlantic, lionfish have no predators. They have large appetites, and eat many species of small fish.
Which of these is a likely result of lionfish living in the Atlantic Ocean?
