Overview
During this assignment students will create an Adobe Portfolio. To accomplish this activity, students will need to review all the instructions and examples on Adobe Portfolio and inform their Course Director of any questions or concerns. Students will use the Adobe Portfolio platform. As a result of this learning activity, students will learn about branding, self-identifying, and website design.
Directions
Students will create an Adobe Portfolio and upload work from previous courses.
CREATING AN ADOBE PORTFOLIO
This week you will create, and Adobe portfolio titled “Your Name” or “Company Name”
This portfolio will travel with you over the next 19 months in this degree program and will be updated in each of the next 6 Project and Portfolio classes you have during that time. This is the start of you beginning to share your work with your instructors, other students, and potential clients and employers. As such, you should put the appropriate amount of time into designing this site since it will become your online persona.
Spend some time before you do this assignment looking at examples of other portfolios and think about how you want to design and layout your own.
THIS PORTFOLIO WILL INCLUDE
1) HOME PAGE (SPLASH OR INTRO PAGE) – This is a page to entice the viewer to want to come into your portfolio. A button or two should be include that leads into one of the pages on your site.
2) ABOUT PAGE – This page should include a pic of you or something that represents you and a short Bio about who you are. This tells the viewer about you, showcases your personality, and states your goals and dreams.
3) WORK OR PROJECT PAGE – This page will include three pages for your previous courses. For each page, include the work you have done in that course.
COURSE PAGES (You must have the three pages below on your Work or Project Page)
Intro to Film and Video – The storyboard project you did should be included.
New Media Tools – The graphic design project you did should be included.
Intro to Post Production – The soundscape video you did should be included.
Please prepare to include a page for your Project and Portfolio 1 course. You will add your Instructional Video project in Week 4, once it’s completed.
4) CONTACT PAGE – Use the template in Adobe Portfolio for this page.
Deliverables
Students will submit a link to their site for review. The link must be a hyperlink. Your site should contain all the pages above for full credit.
Once you get the images and any text imported, you will need to go in and do a little design work on your new Adobe Portfolio before posting the link for submission.
Just a few notes on the design of these:
NO BLACK OR WHITE BACKGROUNDS. These should be color backgrounds or photos or videos as backgrounds. If you use a color background, make sure you put some thought into the color and try to make them complementary colors based on color wheels.
Use buttons, banners, and social media links on your pages.
Pay attention to the readability of your text. Make sure you have the right size text and have enough contrast between the text and backgrounds. Remember, this needs to be viewable across multiple platforms, computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
Include a navigation panel: Make sure it’s easy for viewers to navigate through your site. Most people put the navigation of the four pages at the top or along the right side.
Try to do some research on other film and television portfolio sites, so you can see how other industry professionals use this platform to promote their work.

ADOBE PORTFOLIO RESEARCH
The articles and videos below are references to help you set up your portfolio. This is one of the first steps to sharing your work with others including potential clients. If you are going to be in this business, you will need to have a variety of ways to let people know who you are and what type of work you do.
This month, you will create an Adobe Portfolio site. Add this site to your social media sites and you will see how suddenly your online presence will grow in no time.
The key is consistently filling it with only your best work and fresh projects.

FINAL THOUGHTS
My advice is to put some thought into the layout and design of your site and to not just upload your photos and videos without giving it much attention. This will become your visual resume to show people your work over the next several months, so make it worthwhile. You will find a lot of people use Adobe Portfolio as a beginning website for their upstart businesses, so spend some time looking at the designs of other Adobe Portfolio sites for inspiration.

Address what struck you about the play’s structure, formal elements, and/or content.

Hi, here are the instructions. And you have to watch the video to write this paper. Please do not write the paper without watching the video I gave you. It is not the academic paper. So there are 0 references required unless you use some online sources. Thank you so much!
Journals are intended as informed personal reflections on semester readings and a performance as outlined below. Entries can be composed as a single extended entry or divided into shorter units if the entries are composed over time. Potential focal points:
⚫ Address what struck you about the play’s structure, formal elements, and/or content.
⚫ Include what you found most interesting, memorable, or confusing. And if raising questions, attempt
to answer them.
⚫ List associations or connections to other works you’ve experienced in any genre, that the material
raised for you.
⚫ You may add images as illustration of your ideas. Do not, though, simply submit a picture book.
⚫ For the performance you attend, write about that particular production, not on the play in general.
⚫ Add an introductory page and take-away/summary page to bookend your entries before submission.
Comments from Customer
“The Course Paper will be the collected file of individual Journal Entries on plays one through five of the semester syllabus. A sixth entry will address one campus theatre production(which is the one I uploaded before).” I will upload the rest of the five plays(Maybe in pdf format, maybe as video).

With a strong understanding of the elements of a musical, as well as the many genres of musical theatre, your Final Project is to create the “Next Great Broadway Musical”!
You can create a Video, Powerpoint, or Google Slide to ‘pitch’ your new musical to me, the producer. Your pitch should explain and give examples (when possible) of the book, music, and dance. This is your chance to get creative, and show me what you’ve learned!
Start by deciding what genre or style of show you wish to create (i.e. a vaudeville, revue, book musical, concept musical…).
Next, decide what the story or book will be. Is it a linear plot, or a non-linear ‘concept’ theme? Is it an original idea or an adaptation of a book? Get creative here, because it will guide much of the project.
Then decide how the music will be integrated. Will it be original music? Will it be a juke-box musical? How can the music aid in telling the story? (*Provide examples!)
With the book and music established, how will dance be utilized in the production? What style of dance will best portray the setting, characters, and emotions in the piece? (*Provide examples!)
The more detail you put into this ‘pitch’ the better I will be able to see your vision for the production. Do not feel that you need to film yourself singing or dancing, this is not to evaluate your talent! The examples of music and dance can be clips from youtube or other media sources.
Grading: This Final Project is worth 40 total points, and will be broken down in the following way.
Book (10 points) – Full credit will be given for a fully explained plot summary, with at least three character descriptions.
Music (10 points) – Full credit will be given for a fully integrated musical concept, with clear examples of at least three musical moments.
Dance (10 points) – Full credit will be given for a fully integrated dance concept, with clear examples of at least three dance/movement moments.
Overall Concept & Design (10 points) – Full credit will be given for a well connected pitch that integrates the book, music, and dance, as well as examples of possible settings and costumes. (*Get creative!)

Write a response discussing how the themes and messages of the play were realized in this performance. Discuss what you found effective or not effective in its current presentation. Then pick one or two key themes and discuss how you would have underscored these themes in a modern adaptation. What changes or choices would you have made to have this Classical Greek play still speak to our modern sociopolitical climate and thought?
– 500 words minimum, not including title and heading
– Papers under the 500 word minimum immediately lose 1/2 points
