Living in the 21st century, it can be easy to take technology for granted. Even the very blended nature of this course presupposes that students and professors alike will all have regular access to fast, reliable internet; however, the reality is that a quarter of Americans simply do not have broadband internet. While we might initially think that this simply translates to limited Instagram access or slow YouTube videos, our current society runs on and depends upon high-speed internet, and those without it are left to suffer the consequences. For this discussion, read Karl Vick’s “The Digital Dividehttps://time.com/4718032/the-digital-divide/,” published in Time, in order to understand the impact of the “digital divide” on our nation as well as some programs intended to close the gap; then, answer the following questions: While many people across America cannot afford internet access at all, there is a far larger number who can only afford subpar services such as dial-up and satellite. What are the consequences on households that do not have internet access or have extremely slow internet capabilities? Provide specific examples from the article and your own knowledge to reinforce your claims. According to the article (and perhaps even your own experiences), what are the limitations of using smartphones and connecting to public Wi-Fi in order for individuals to access high-speed internet? Again, provide concrete details and examples in your response. What groups and people, as discussed in the text, might stand to gain by perpetuating this digital disparity across the country? (Consider rereading the section beginning with “Politically, the persistence of the digital gap defies logic.”) What are some of the specific ways that these businesses and individuals have prevented nationwide internet access? Finally, the author closes by remarking that many of the suggestions meant to rectify the “digital divide” demand “a unity of purpose not yet seen from a President who ran as a populist and arrived in Washington surrounded by captains of industry.” Who is Vick referring to in this closing statement? Does he believe that this person is capable of implementing the changes necessary to close the digital gap? Why or why not? In your opinion, does Vick’s more argumentative stance at the end of this article help to strengthen his writing, or does it introduce bias? Explain why you believe this.

For this assignment, choose one of the bolded topic options below and create a multimedia project (with pictures, video, audio, charts, diagrams, text, etc.) to demonstrate your understanding of the plot in Rebecca Skloot’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Provide specific direct quotations, examples, or evidences from the non-fiction book to support your positions. Find at least two secondary sources to accompany the primary source. An in-text citation is necessary for all borrowed information, and a Works Cited page must be provided. Basic essay structure required (intro, body, conclusion); a minimum of 900-1000 words (or approximately 100 sentences) must be included. Grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and word choice will be factored into your grade, so edit carefully.
Create a Digital Time Capsule. A time capsule is intended to preserve important information for future generations. What information from this book would you like to preserve for people who might open the time capsule 100 years from now? The time capsule must include 20 or more pieces of evidence. Please reference specific direct quotations, examples, or evidences from the book for each evidence.
Create a Virtual Museum. Henrietta Lacks’ children and grandchildren know and/or understand very little information about her cancerous cells (also known as HeLa). Create a virtual museum consisting of 20 or more healthcare workers, places, events, and/or medical discoveries featured in the book. Please reference specific direct quotations, examples, or evidences from the book for each person, place, event, or medical discovery.
Create a “Wanted” Poster. Several people in the book are notorious for behaving badly. Create a “Wanted” poster for one to four people who exhibit bad behavior. Use the following questions to help you get started: Who is wanted? What did he or she do? Where did he or she commit the offense? When did he or she commit the offense? Should the person be punished? How should he or she be punished? Please reference specific direct quotations, examples, or evidences from the book for each person.

Essay 3 Assignment Instructions
Length and Format: This essay must be a minimum of two pages typed and double spaced in 12
point, Times New Roman font with 1 inch margins. There is no maximum. Your header does not
count toward page length. The essay also should have a title.
Topic: In emergency situations, many seem to think it is permissible to sacrifice the one to save the
many. After summarizing the Trolley Problem, the scenarios discussed this week, and your own
reactions, make a persuasive argument based on your own values and logic that explains and justifies
when it is acceptable to sacrifice one to save many? In your conclusion, try to reflect on what your
own nuanced argument—quite possibly different from everyone else in the class—has to say about
your own personal values.

Ideally, respond to a classmate who has not received a response, so everyone will get at least one response.
Number the responses to match each question (as seen below), and write clearly and concisely.
Answer all three of these questions in your response:
Evaluate the sources provided in your classmate’s initial post. Are they all credible sources? Why or why not? What other credible sources can you recommend to them?
Based upon the research they provided, what will make this idea successful?
Other than what your classmate listed in their reflection, what other ideas should they consider for additional research? Strive to provide at least two suggestions.
Here′s my classmates post:
Competitive Analysis:
The two products I analyzed for the competitive analysis are Marvel Unlimited Mobile app and DC UNIVERSE INFINITE Mobile App.
Both applications have the same features so going to provide all the information in one bullet point. They both give the viewers access to all current running comic book stories. Marvel Unlimited will give viewers access to stories coming from their website. ″Marvel Unlimited is our member subsсrіption service that gives members unlimited access to over 30,000 issues of Marvel′s classic and newer titles, delivered digitally through your desktop web browser and the Marvel Unlimited mobile app. More classic and newer issues are added every week — as soon as 3 months after they hit stores!″ This gives the viewer an exact insight into what they are getting when they pay the $9.99 a month. Coming from DC Universe Infinites website ″DC UNIVERSE INFINITE is the ultimate comic book subsсrіption service. With access to more than 32,000+ (Ultra) and 27,000+ (Annual or Monthly) comic books and graphic novels, DC UNIVERSE INFINITE subscribers will also encounter digital-first comics, member access to DC fan events, as well as a steady stream of recently released comics one month (Ultra) or six months (Annual or Monthly) after their physical versions hit store shelves.″ Just like Marvels comic service, it is much of the same application just with different stories and characters.
For Marvel Unlimited it is $9.99 a month giving viewers access to all current running comic stories.
For DC Universe Infinite it is $7.99 a month giving viewers access to all current running comic stories.
The Target Market for Marvel Unlimited Mobile app would be the loyal Marvel Fans , who still have interest in reading the comic book storylines. Many people grew up reading the old Iron Man comics or Wolverine Comics, that some may want to continue reading the stories for their favorite Marvel characters

Viability:
Yes my idea is very viable because, Marvel and DC Comics are the biggest names in not only comics but superheroes in a whole. With both companies competing for years bringing their amazing superheroes through the big screen around the world. There are hundred of thousands of people who love their character and want to know their whole story. With my service all these companies will be available to be read and enjoyed creating new fans for these outstanding characters.

Market:
The Pros for my service would be the ability to read the new Invincible comics through Image comics, or Iron man comics from Marvel, as well as the Boys comics from Valiant Comics, They will all be available to read with my product/service. The biggest con to my business would be just another subsсrіption services to pay for. With Subsсrіption services being so popular now. It makes it harder for us to be able to afford the services we want versus what we actually need to live in everyday life. My service would be more for those willing to pay the extra money to have basically unlimited access to every comic book in the world.
Reflection:
Probably the only and influential change, I could make to my product would be to bring down the monthly price and introduce the annual option along with the multi annual option. Bringing down the price from $35 is a must after learning both Marvel and DC brought their prices down from around $20 a month to $9.99 a month, which is a big change. Offering an annual price would be best for those who prefer to pay for their subsсrіptions by the year to save the effort of renewing them. and Multi annual option for those not wanting to worry about having to pay for the subsсrіption for years on end.
Based upon my research, my product will already stand out among the competition. This is because all other services only provide users access to their limited library of stories for a certain amount of characters. What my service brings is access to every studios stories which will automatically stand out above the rest.

Rephrase or adjsut to make these 2 AI and Plagarsim safe.
Section 1: Watching an hour of children’s TV on a Saturday morning revealed prevalent stereotypes. An animated adventure show featured predominantly male heroes on dangerous missions, with a token female character providing emotional support. An Asian character was stereotypically portrayed with exaggerated martial arts skills. In a comedy cartoon, boys engaged in slapstick humor and adventures, while girls focused on appearance and social activities. Commercials marketed aggressive toys like action figures to boys and beauty-oriented toys like dolls to girls. Ethnic representation was limited, with white children dominating ads and minority children appearing infrequently. This content reinforces outdated gender norms and provides limited, often stereotypical, portrayals of ethnic minorities.
Section 2: In the 1980s, mothers typically relied on strollers, carriages, and occasionally slings, with car seats used mainly for travel, prioritizing convenience and safety. They believed that strollers and carriages encouraged sensory exploration, while carrying their babies fostered bonding. By the 1990s, the use of front carriers (inward-facing), strollers, and car seats became prevalent, with mothers valuing the close bonding offered by carriers and the convenience of strollers. They felt inward-facing carriers provided security, and strollers allowed infants to interact with their environment. In the 2000s, mothers began using a mix of front and back carriers (inward- and outward-facing), strollers, and car seats, choosing carriers for their flexibility and ability to free up hands. They believed that varying carrier positions supported emotional security and awareness, and strollers provided rich sensory experiences. By the 2010s, ergonomic carriers, strollers, and car seats were common, selected for their versatility and comfort. Mothers felt that carriers supported physical and emotional development, while strollers encouraged exploration.

3. Note your main reasons that will be covered in the essay, and place them in the order you will cover them.
4. Explain why you decided this order for your reasons.
5. Draft a topic sentence for each of your body paragraphs.
6. Note where each of your sources will fit in the essay – which reason each source fits with (remember that you can use any
