In this assignment, you will create a problem-style proposal or a research proposal that is connected to your chosen discipline. A problem proposal should have a clear problem section that explains the problem in detail and its impact on consumers and the business/workplace/community as a whole. The primary solution section should be the best solution that can address the aforementioned problem based on research. Then a clear implementation plan of that solution should be laid out. It should include any costs (with actual numbers) mentioned as well as timelines and tasks that need to be completed to make the primary solution a reality. The research proposal should have an introduction where the chosen topic is introduced and a clear context is provided. Explain its significance to your discipline and highlight the key issue or problem you will be addressing. Include a research question and thesis statement. The research question should be precise, focused, and specific enough to be answered within the scope of your research but broad enough to generate meaningful analysis. Formulate a well-defined thesis statement that succinctly articulates your central argument related to your research question.
Conduct a comprehensive literature review, demonstrating a through understanding or existing scholarship on your chosen topic. Analyze 5-7 academic sources (peer reviewed journals, books, credible websites) and critically engage with their arguments, methodologies and findings. Show how your research will contribute to or change the existing scholarship.
Describe your methodology (research plan), including types of sources (academic journals, primary sources, secondary sources, field observations, etc) Describe how you will collect data for your research such as library databases, questionnaires, interviews, etc) Describe what you think what you anticipate to learn from your research. Explain the potential findings and contributions of your research to the field.
In the conclusion, briefly restate your research question and thesis statement, emphasizing their significance. Conclude by reiterating the value of your proposed research and its contribution to your academic and professional development.

Drug Use and Neurotransmitters – “This is Your Brain on Drugs”
Recreational drugs are prevalent in many places – school, college, work and so on.  The chapter on biological foundations of behavior discusses the importance of the neurotransmitters that carry neural messages.  These messages can either enhance the effects of some neurotransmitters, or they can block the reuptake of neurotransmitters. The title of this assignment is from a commercial about drug use and brain effects from the 1980s.  I have included it below.  Please watch it prior to doing the assignment.
Classic frying pan video
This following brief video will help you visualize the location of neurons in the brain, and the purpose they serve.
The Neuron
The following video, on neurotransmitters should help you see first hand and better understand the path that neurotransmitters take in the brain.
2-Minute Neuroscience: Synaptic Transmission
Consider all that you have read in the chapters on biological psychology, the videos you watched here and the crash course ones about the nervous system, neuron and particularly synapses.  Now that you know more about neurons and neurotransmitters, I would like you to consider how drugs affect our brains and functioning.
Use one of the search engines on our school library web site to get information about how recreational drugs affect the brain.  Look up a drug that may have been used by you, your peers or family members at some point. Make sure that you use sources that are peer reviewed.  These are articles by research psychologists, writing for professional readers.
Your research paper should be at leastthree full pages, double spaced and should respond to all of the issues below. The text of the document only is included in the three full pages – meaning there should be at least three pages of substantive content, the reference page will be the 4th page, and you should use at least 2 peer reviewed sources.  The paper may be longer, it may not be shorter.  In text citations and references at the end should be in APA style.
Discuss your findings about how the drug interacts with the neurotransmitters in the brain.  Please make sure that you include citations (and/or URLs)  for the sources.  Please make sure that you write your paper in your own words.
How does the drug you studied affect cognition – memory, thinking, reaction time etc? Discuss both the long term and short term cognitive effects.
What happens when you stop taking the drug? What are the short term and long term effects of taking this drug.
Does it have addictive properties?  If so, how do the addictive properties evidence themselves.
Finally conduct an in depth critical analysis of the personality and functionality impact of the drug use on those who you know that have been affected by the drug, or on what you had heard about the drug in the past.
Please understand that once you upload your document, it will go through an originality check, that will show us both that you wrote the paper in your own words.  Please note that while you may not see it on the originality report, Turnitin does alert me to whether you used AI to write your paper.

Seems like there is some confusion on this activity. You submitted a short argument with some research, but the instructions for this one calls for you to analyze a provided essay on Veganism with seven steps. If you want to resubmit for an updated grade, let me know. If you have any questions, feel free to email those as well.

” You will compose a researched essay about the topic/issue you have chosen to pursue for Project 1. This research essay should help readers understand the complexity of the issue you’ve chosen, perhaps by highlighting things about your topic that are misunderstood (and misunderstood by whom) or should be understood in a new/different way. That said, this is not a compare/contrast essay, nor is it a chance for you to demonstrate your bias(es). This essay should tell your readers what is important to notice in the research you conducted.
For the essay, you must include a minimum of six (6) sources. Three (3) of those sources must be scholarly, peer-reviewed (that is, vetted by authorities in the field) sources of any type. The other three (3) are your choice of primary, popular, and/or additional scholarly sources.

That is the prompt, I have already completed an annotated bibliography, which includes all the sources you will need for this assignment. I will also provide a detailed essay outline that has quotations from each source, you may also pick your own quotations and deviate from the outline as you see fit.
The essay must be in MLA 9 format
