In  this project, you will create an informative PowerPoint (PP) featuring  t

In  this project, you will create an informative PowerPoint (PP) featuring  the music of a specific non-Western culture. (Note that the term “world  music” in the context of this assignment refers to music that is not  based in the Western tradition of music. If you are not sure if your  chosen topic is a style of non-Western music, contact your instructor,  who will provide guidance on your topic selection.)
Something  to consider when choosing your topic is to make sure it is a style of  music that is still in existence and performed, so you will be able to  find musical examples and address all of the required elements of the  assignment. Post the PP both to the WK8 “Let’s Explore World Music” Discussion and to this Assignment.
Please see the attached example to help you understand the expectations for this assignment.
The PP should include the following:
A summary of the chosen culture including a short history.
A brief explanation of some beliefs and traditions of the culture.
Description of the instruments used in that culture’s music.
Explanation  of the key attributes of the culture’s music, including melody,  harmony, rhythm, timbre, texture, and form. (If the style of music you  choose does not include one or more of these musical elements, then you  need to explain why that musical element is not present in the music.)
Specific  introduction to one piece of music from the culture. Include at least  three examples of the music, such as through linking to YouTube  performances. Be sure to include a description of one of the musical  examples.
The PP should include photos and video (either linked or embedded). Embedded photos and videos need to be cited.
The  choice of world music must be a style of traditional music that is  non-Western or not from the Western tradition of music. Do not choose  styles of music from the U.S., Canada, or Europe, including jazz, folk,  or any type of pop music (including hip hop).
Sources  must be valid, academic sources.  Do not use non-academic sources such  as Wikipedia or About.com. The PP should not contain more than 15%  direct quotes and direct quotes must be in quotation marks. Direct  quotes and paraphrased material must be cited in the body of the text  and in a source list at the end

prepare  a presentation on an organization currently involved in social change.  This can be a local, national, or global organization and an  organization in which you have membership or is of interest to you. You  can use presentation software/programs  Powerpoint. Many of these programs offer free  basic membership. The presentation should be  creative and visually appealing as well as incorporate each of the  following components:
Address your interest in the selected organization or group as well as describe the group itself.
Next,  view the website, social media outlets, etc. for the group. How is this  group related to social change? How do they gain members/support?  Remember that you can include images, links, etc. in your presentation.
Describe their mission and methods.
Next,  analyze the group using one of the theoretical perspectives . Address the kind of change, level of change, causes of change  (internal vs. external), and intentions.
What has been the impact of the group at the local/national level?
Finally,  incorporate at least two peer-reviewed, scholarly sources that also  address the particular type of social change that you are examining.

research  the seven (7) primary human resource management (HRM) functions most  commonly associated with today’s organizations. In a PowerPoint Presentation, explain each function in your own words, to include a concise section that highlights the federal statutes, regulations, and guidance that HR professionals  must know to keep their organizations legally compliant. Once done,  expand the narrative on this information in the Notes section.
Assignment instructions:  Submit a 15  PowerPoint slide presentation. The PowerPoint must  include speaker notes displaying what would be said during the  presentation. Use a minimum of three to five references, with at least one citation for each reference in APA style format required. Be sure to include  a cover slide and wrap your presentation up with a closing slide and a  slide of the references utilized in your research.
In order to minimize lengthy wording on the slides, students will be graded on their use of the Notes section  of the slides in formulating the narrative portion of the presentation.  This approach will allow the use of bullet points on the slides but  demonstrate the depth and scope of the research conducted in the Notes  section. A minimum of 75 words in the Notes Section for each content slide is required for full credit for this assignment.

Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) places the student at the center of the learning e

Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) places the student at the center of the learning experience. There are four primary phases to inquiry-based learning activities. These include student identification of a question or problem of interest, student-led research of the topic, student presentation of their knowledge/solution, and student evaluation of the accuracy while reformulating a new approach to the problem if needed. Some of the initial phases may be included in a lesson but all four do not need to be incorporated each time. As a classroom teacher, it is your responsibility to act as a guide or facilitator and support students as they move through this process.
For this assignment, you can either use the theme from Topic 2 (Weather and climate) or select a new STEM subject/theme.
Complete the “ECE-660 Inquiry-Based Student Centers” template. Within each station complete the following:
Standard and Objective:  Identify which STEM subject or theme, standard with coding and full description, and objective will be used in the activity.
Activity:  Name and short explanation of the activity and how it is developmentally appropriate and supports young children’s learning.
Directions:  Step-by-step student directions you would print and leave at the station.
Materials:  A link to or a picture of the activity you created. This can also be a picture of a digital mockup. List all materials needed for the center.
Rationale:  Explain what phase of the inquiry-based learning model this activity involves and how it engages the student in analyzing their own learning progress and uses responsive interactions and activities to facilitate participation and engagement.
Support your work with 3-5 resources.

The collaborative team is at the heart of early intervention services and the I

The collaborative team is at the heart of early intervention services and the Individualized Family Service Plan. Since the implementation of Public Law 94-142, the focus has been on professionals from a variety of disciplines collaboratively planning and implementing services to young children with special needs and their families. Examples of professionals that are typically involved in the IFSP team and delivery of services to young children include service coordinator, early childhood special educators, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. It is vital that as an early childhood practitioner, you can collaborate with each of the IFSP team members to support the needs of young children receiving early intervention services.
Just like last week, you will assume the role of a social media influencer to showcase your knowledge related to key early intervention topics. Last week, you created an image to represent your content along with a written narrative or you created a video post. And like last week, you are encouraged to not only post your information in the discussion forum but to also share it to your social media platform of choice and to share your social media handle in your discussion post. Doing this will allow you to demonstrate your understanding of the content and build connections with others in the field.
Initial Post Instructions
Select one of the options below to complete your discussion post.

Option 1

Create an image with a supporting written narrative.

Option 2

Create a two-minute video.

To complete this discussion, find the scenario below that corresponds to your birth month.

September –December

Johnny (3 years old): IFSP Outcome: Johnny will hold his own utensils when eating meals each day.

In your initial post, use your assigned scenario to address the following:
Discuss how you will collaborate with other professionals to support the IFSP outcome of your assigned child.
Describe a cooperative teaching strategy you would use to support the child’s IFSP outcome.
Communicate how you will collaborate with other IFSP Team professionals and why.
Upload your image with supporting written narrative or video to the discussion forum. If you shared your image or video to a social media platform, share your social media handle in your post so we can follow you!
