Experiences That Can Get You in Close Proximity to Your Dream Job

Speaking of experiences that are necessary and important for me, and that can bring me closer to my dream job – to become an engineering manager – I can name the Nissan student internship, which, in my opinion, would be an amazing opportunity to get me one step closer to my goals. I will learn more when I work with professional people and when I am involved in a group it will teach me new skills. This internship will be a place I will enjoy working in because it’s related to the career I want to do.

I am currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at Middle Tennessee State University to major in Engineering Technology, after which I am hoping to get my master’s degree in Engineering Management to become an engineering manager. College and education are important factors to me because my family moved from Egypt to provide me with the best education. My family works so often that I don’t get to see them every day. I learned from commitment and to work hard from them because they never give up or stop trying for me to get everything I need. Their hard work is my biggest inspiration. I decided to go to college because I knew that it would help me to do my dream job. The college will impact me by allowing me to gain the knowledge that I will need to be able to find a stable job within my career field. I want to become an engineering manager because it’s a combination of both business and engineering. I have always wanted to be a businesswoman and I love math, so this career will help me do what I like.

The student internship at the Nissan company will be an exposure for me to experience real-world jobs in engineering. In this internship, I will be networking with other people so that I can ask them for recommendations and offer me opportunities. I need to gain more skills like management, leadership, and communication from experienced people, so I can be able to deal with challenges in the real world. This internship will allow me to work in a setting where I am supervised by professionals who can help me and guide me. This internship is a way for me to learn by being involved and working with a team.

I am willing to put in all my effort and try my best in this internship. This experience will change me. It will allow me to learn about engineering. I will also see where my weaknesses and strengths are so I can improve in the future. I will gain networking, experience, gain confidence, and learn more skills. This internship will build my confidence and make me ready to move closer to my dream job of becoming an engineering manager.

Reflections on Why a Job Isn’t Always a Dream Job

Finding a job nowadays is hard. Especially a job fitting for your course in college. Imagine you graduated as an engineer, but ended up working at a fast-food chain. In this essay, we will be talking about why your job is not always your dream job.

One of the reasons why job finding is hard, especially when you want to follow your dream job, it is because many companies or employers, especially science related and in demand jobs will look at your profile background and information necessary to know if you’re fit for the job or not. If you want your dream job to become reality, just study and get good grades until you graduate. As simple as that. If you didn’t get to finish study, finding a job you want is hard. But a job you need just to earn money for your family or for yourself. Of course, finding a job, there will always be competition. There are times when you are not the only one who will be applying for a certain job. And there will be times you will not get accepted. This is because of a difference between two people of more called ‘skills gap’. What you’re capable of and what you’re not, can affect the outcome of your application. According to Cappelli (2012), “Most employers are looking for experienced workers”.

Another reason, like what was mentioned, is just to earn money. It can be because he is the one who provides for his family. And when a person can’t find a job and they are lacking on money, he will become desperate and find any jobs as long as he can earn more money. And if that is not enough, they find another job and earn more money. Because money is something we trade for our life and energy (Dominguez & Robin, 1992).

Finding the right job for you can be determined by what do you want to do and what is your passion. According to some researchers, ‘happy’ workers demonstrate higher performance and behaviors than the ‘unhappy’ workers do. Thus, job satisfaction and happiness are always connected to one another (Wright & Cropanzano, 1999). This is why happiness can be considered as a criterion for finding a job, hobby or even choosing a course in college.

On time, your dream job can change depending on the person, and one outcome is job change. Job change can occur because of the ‘in demand jobs’. According to the survey from newsfeed.ph, the most in demand job here in the Philippines 2019 is a job in call center agency, followed by IT or information technology, computer and software engineer, lawyer, architect, accountancy, business management, fields of medicine, engineering, marketing and writers. People will pick a job based on this survey because it has higher chance of getting accepted. But its better if you pick a job based on what you want. Because no one knows you better than yourself. An appropriate course of action is to try new things and see how it is useful to you and use that information to understand yourself more (Ibarra, 2003). No one can dictate what and who you are, and your fate will always be at your hands and your hands alone.

Essay about My Dream Job Fashion Designer

Having been born into a family of chartered accountants, technologists, and medical professionals my dream of fashion has often led to a good deal of speculation. Surviving in a traditional Indian social club had its set of limitations. Questions like Will you get a job? Will you make enough? Will you be capable to pay your electricity bill? Will you end up homeless? Were thrown my way. Fortunately, my parents were supportive of my dreams since I first mentioned them to them in middle school. They have constantly wanted me to be creative and ambitious in whatever I serve. I did not have the same confidence they had in me. Perhaps I was afraid that I wouldn’t be as successful as my parents whom I’ve looked upward to my entire animation. Through high school, I experienced times when I was scared to share my dreams of being a fashion designer fearing that I didn’t deliver what it needs to be successful. Yet somehow my desire to create could overcome this fear. I want to create things, design, and produce something that has never existed. Something fresh, something creative and innovative that will positively impress the world. I know being in a creative subject is really scary, stressful, and competitive, but I know I will not stop creating because it drives me. This confidence that I have in me is not something I was born with but rather something I carved into myself with a great deal of thought and work and I trust in myself to strive hard to accomplish my goals.

Being initially scared, I never liked to throw myself out there and join competitions, even though I was found good at art, and creativity and was opened to a great heap of opportunities. After finally understanding myself and knowing what I want, I gained the confidence to step out and take part in various activities that helped me build up my skills and increased exposure which made me want more and understand how much I missed, fearing to tell the world what I am and what I want to be.

I believe FIT is a position that would serve an individual to grow, construct and sustain new and surviving skills and would assist me to accomplish my dreams and provide me the taste of everything I have left out, letting me grow and opening new doors that would fulfill my aspirations

Choosing fashion design as my major is not an impulsive decision but rather well conceived. Understanding and developing fashion has been something that I found joy in sacrificing my time. It is a medium through which I could express myself. Creating style and designing garments give me the impression that I’m adding something of myself to the world.

I desire to produce garments that would grant people the confidence to conquer their worlds. A cape, which would grant them durability and feel powerful in their best selves. My mania for creating and the things that I have missed, made me want to work harder toward what I require. Throughout the time I have spent living in India, I have determined to be self-governing, which I see as a salient characteristic in people. I can abide up for myself and what I believe in, without failing to understand and take on things that would help me increase my knowledge, accomplishments, and increment in my career and as an individual. I’m not afraid to fail, but rather looking forward to learning something fresh every day. There might be a lot of sacrifices and difficult work that induces to be put in but I can handle the pressure it holds. I know what I want and what it needs to start out thither. I want to explore more and let out many things about what I’m passionate about and FIT is the best passage through which I can reach from what I am to what I want to be. The atonement that you receive when the garment you created builds the confidence of a person, and makes all the hard work, sweat, and sacrifice pay off. I can step out of my comfort zone and apply my creativity and innovation in me to make an impact on the world. To design pieces that facilitate an individual to best portray themselves through their clothing and spread my views on the difference between clothes and fashion itself.

My Dream Career in MSc Computer Science: Personal Statement

Using logic to solve complex problems has always been a source of excitement for me. I crave more problems at times just to satisfy myself by solving them. The love of solving problem has gotten me in field of computer science. To think what can be achieved from a single piece of equipment is mind-blowing to me and hence why I wish to further study it at your university. I currently am a fourth-year bachelor student at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan applying for The Queen Mary University of London, UK.

My love of computer science dates to when I was 11 though, which was when I first started loving computers. Seeing how user-friendly and versatile the computers were perplexed me as how were the computers even real. The first time I felt smart and a sense of accomplishment was when I first successfully changed the wallpaper of my computer, and since then I have loved learning every minute detail about computers. Even when in the middle and high school, I never missed a single computer lesson which helped me understand my passion. At 16, I made the decision to take up computer science as my major. Through immense hard work I finally got enrolled at one of the best universities in my country- FAST NU.

FAST had all that I could ask for, from dedicated and caring faculty who nurtured not just my passion but my personality, to state of the art facilities. We have hands on the latest computer systems, tech-filled lectures, intriguing but not limited to design codes for specific tasks. The mate-students in this university are like siblings and help each other in any difficulty such that you would not ever fear facing any difficult situation in the future.

Unfortunately, time flew by and I am told to look for a new home. A university where I plan to pursue my passion. In all these years of education, my interest in study of computers kept growing and I kept finding out new branches of this field. One of them was data sciences which inspired me a lot because of the level and the quantity of mathematics involved in it. I have always been a big fan of mathematics and hence data caught my eyes and didn’t let go.

Throughout my graduation years and practical work experience, I was fortunate to gain some required experience in the domain of analytics. I believe that curiosity and eagerness to learn can take you places. I wish to learn everything I can in the field of data science as I believe there is still a long way to go for me. My experience in different internships in different local banks helped me explore the world in front of me by showing me different paths in my field. This experience showed me the way which I need to choose in my career.

This masters’ program will thus be a step towards achieving my dreams. This program will train me in different methods of statistical analysis, and programming knowledge needed to continue with my goal to provide research for companies. Queens Mary University of London has been my dream institute to pursue this course as I wish to take the benefits of the expert knowledge provided by the skilled faculty of the university. Once I was working as an intern, my supervisor asked to solve a problem which was not of my level at all, yet I tried it by taking help from my seniors and professors from my university and finally solved it. My supervisor was impressed with my work and offered me to join him after my graduation.

The reasons I chose Queens Mary University of London is that it is one of 24 leading UK universities represented by the Russell Group, committed to maintaining the very best research, an outstanding teaching and learning experience, excellent graduate employability and unrivalled links with business and the public sector. When you join Queen Mary, you become part of a thriving research community of 1,700 postgraduate students, working with world-leading researchers and contributing to understanding some of today’s most pressing global challenges. The research excellence and innovation, exceptional learning environment, international outlook, career success and distinguished legacy reflects a great impact on the future of their students.

Through this degree, I aim to enhance my knowledge and expertise in programming and mathematics. After completing my MS, I wish to get into the field of Machine Learning as I believe that machine learning still have a lot of information to discover and I am pretty sure I will contribute a lot to it with my knowledge in data sciences and it will increase my knowledge too. The practical knowledge will give me the technical expertise to pursue my career as a data scientist.

Getting admission in my dream university for pursuing my dream career is my goal currently and there are great chances that I will be going forward for my PhD from my dream institution of that time after I complete my masters. The opportunity to complete my masters from your university would be the most exciting and learning experience of my career; it would give me the knowledge to contribute in the advancing world of technology and a chance to inspire others to pursue their dreams and change the world. I will be looking forward to extending my knowledge in computer science and believe the university will enhance the opportunities that I have ahead of me.

Getting admission in this university is like watching my childhood dream come true as it feels like getting admission in a

Reflection on My Dream Career Activity

This PowerPoint I will discuss and explore the main four key points which are my skills, my current knowledge used in the online world, my goals in the learning unit and set goals at the end of the course. I am a fulltime educator, second in charge at an early learning centre and also a fulltime online student studying Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary). I have decided to do my studies through Swinburne online as it allows for flexibility in my learning and fit into my busy lifestyle, the purpose of this PowerPoint: introducing me, the online learner.

Completing activity from the first week – Dream Careers and read the (Future Works Skills, 2020). I gained transferable skills in my workplace and online learning. The areas of expertise I bring to this course is organisation skills and problem-solving. Working as an educator, managing a team and dealing with families, I find that both organisation and problem-solving skills are highly significant. In my workplace, I have been able to come up with solutions in a systematic manner as I evaluate information and use problem-solving to handle the issue and meet family needs. Living in another state with a time difference to Swinburne online university and working fulltime. Therefore, I have made the choice to become an online learner to manage and allocate appropriate study load to suit my lifestyle. The organisation and problem-solving skills I hold have come from growing in my workplace and gaining experience to strengthen my skills and understand my learning through the tool Success Profile and student planner on the Swinburne online portal to stay organised. As an educator, if the organisation and problem-solving is lacked in your daily life, study and workplace this will only break the daily procedures, routines and students learning process.

I have recently been introduced to the online learning environment as I moved to an online learning environment. I now have great knowledge of how collaboration works in online learning, which is a known concept of the flipped classroom. Collaboration is a flexible tool used to study at your own pace and time, but disruption can be caused as online learners can withdraw from discussion boards, lectures and online classroom. Students need to have a positive outlook on their learning, as it prepares you to become committed in your learning and participate in all learning groups, by sharing your ideas and learning with other online learners (Kear. K, 2012). When collaborating with other online students it is suggested as a crucial component which is to positive and successful online learners. Another important skill used for online learners is the use of a credible source, which I’m not too confident in this skill. As a new online learner in this environment, I am determined to use a credible source in my assignment and learning and make sure my work is reliable information given to the reader, relevant and recent, rather than gathering unreliable information.

My unit goals are some areas I need to become a confident online learner. My unit goals are strength higher academic writing skills and better time management to balance and meet needs. My goal at the end of this unit is to become a confident learner to reflect, analyse, use correct grammar and use of the credible source to back up my research with strong evidence will help me achieve a higher academic level. As an online learner, I will be using the online tool ‘studiosity’ to receive guidance and support to meet the higher academic level, (Swinburne Online, 2018). Gaining courage and confidence in my learning will develop positive study behaviour to support better time management to use time wisely and meet study hours for the unit.

After reflecting on the ‘dream Careers’ activity, I am now confident in gaining knowledge and develop skills to further my learning confidence and finish this course to reach my dream career. Even though I’m a fulltime educator but I would like to grow in this industry and become confident when delivering a lesson. I use most of the skills required to teach as my job requirements as an early childhood educator. At the end of this course, I would like to continue and develop all skills to become a confident and great teacher which carries out successfully lessons. I hope to develop a great understanding of the Australian curriculum and the use of the early years learning framework (EYLF), to use positive learning outcome and structure appropriate lesson plan.

Personal Statement: My Dream Career in Human Resources

I discovered Human Resources as a career path when I was 16 years old, at the time I was a GCSE business student which had a major part to play in leading me to my driving passion to study this course at University. A GCSE business module gave me one of my first opportunities to explore the significance of human resources and I grasped an understanding of how it is a tool that allows the corporate world to operate properly, given this new knowledge I was fascinated. The course I am currently studying is BTEC Level 3 Business Studies Extended Diploma. I chose the course due to my general interest in business and have had the opportunity to learn units such as Principles of Management, Business Decision Making and Training and Development, also to prepare me for higher education at University.

From the age of 14 it was evident that I had deep interest in business, in 2014 I established my own freelance make-up artistry business. This venture was discovered through one of my hobbies which was being creative, I expressed my creativity by doing makeup. I found it enjoyable and making income was a bonus and also rewarding for me. My business helped me to learn the practical process of running and starting a business. Providing a service to my clients, broadened my mind set in terms of correctly managing my own business, I can now apply these skills I have learnt in future business’ or organisations. During managing my own business, I encountered the daily obstacles that any business or firm can experience. Such as dealing with customers’ or clients’ queries, issues and feedback. Eventually, I established the answers to frequently asked questions, began to use tactics to improve customer satisfaction and as a result I developed a loyal customer base.

From my own observations I believe that the structure of the business is the people, therefore I am keen to develop a career in Human Resources. The Human Resources industry will permit me to cater to the needs of those who work inside a business or organisation, I would like to be given the opportunity to monitor and make evaluations of employee’s and organisation’s performance to ensure the employer and employee is internally satisfied with their business or organisation. I strongly believe that a strength of mine is interacting with my peers, hence why this is my desired career.

I have hope that the Human Resources industry can improve the unemployment rate in the UK, and create many job opportunities in the future for our growing population. Human Resources is an important department within many organisations, Human Resources could provide me with many career opportunities in my future, this demand amplifies my passion for this course. Also being able to shape and develop the opportunities for the younger generations to be employed in the future, provides me with a sense of satisfaction and happiness. I know that a Human Resources degree will be of great value to me because I will then be one step closer to my dream career. I previously worked in the retail industry with role of customer assistant, this gave me my first personal experience interacting with the Human Resources department at Smyths Toys. I also adapted the skills of being a valuable team member, I ensured I always pulled my own weight to relieve my colleagues of potential stress or disappointment.

I strongly trust that University will provide me with an exceptional chance to develop my nowledge of Human Resources in greater depth, in hopes that I achieve employment with a well-recognised and respected business or organisation in the future. Most importantly I would be extremely grateful to have been given opportunity to study a course that I am interested in, as well as passionate about.
